Hook me is the second saga of the Men of Inked series by Chelle Bliss. Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone BUT I wouldn’t recommend it. Why would you NOT want to one click this entire bundle of beautiful Gallo men? And the lone sister Izzy. Come on! That is one bad ass woman. So yes, one click them all as Chelle Bliss has given us a GIFT by writing this series.
After City and Suzy you think you have seen it all but here comes Michael; MMA fighter with a body to show for it. This is the total package ladies. He spends all of him time between working out in the gym for his fights, working at the tattoo shop and enjoying family time with his large and loud Italian family. Michael Gallo may be tattooed and muscled, but he is not a muscle head. He knows what he wants and works hard to go after it. What he wants is the championship in MMA fighting. His calling in life is to kick ass. There is nothing more important, after his family of course, then winning the title belt. That is until he meets Dr. Mia Greco in the ER after a fight.
Mia Greco is an Emergency Room doctor at County Hospital. She has dedicated her life to help save the critically injured. While her job gives her much satisfaction, the lives that are not able to be saved seem to stay and haunt her. Mia’s real passion is volunteering her extra time at the free clinic for the members of her community.
While Mia is checking out Michael’s cracked ribs, he begins to check Mia out. Unimpressed and unenthusiastic about his barbaric fighting ways Mia dismisses Michael and has another doctor discharge him from the ER. Mia doesn’t have time to meet Mr. Right with her busy schedule and Michael is certainly NOT her Mr. Right. She buries herself in her work and helping humanity, not patching up those who choose to hurt themselves for what she considers no reason. Mia’s blasé’ attitude towards Michael has him wondering what went wrong.
Fate steps in and brings Mia literally face to face unexpectedly with Michael. However this time they are on Michaels turf; the gym. She tries to deny the pull to him, a man that uses his fists for gain, but she can’t seem to walk away and Michael isn’t one to take no for an answer. Reluctantly, Mia finally gives in and agrees to go on a date with Michael.

Mia’s doubts are confirmed about Michael when his ex confronts them publically at the hospital of all places and isn’t shy about her accusations. Tammy, who is MORE than slightly delusional, unknown to Michael works as a nurse at the hospital with Mia. When she confronts them, she leads Mia to believe that Michael has lied to her about their “current state of affairs.” No Spoilers but this lady is CRAZY! As Tammy tries to rip them apart, Michael does everything in his power to show the Mia the man he really is.

This book is written in first person with alternating POVs between Michael and Mia. The story is a quick but fantastic read. The entire Gallo family is here including City and Suzy. I have to say the Gallo clan is the most genuine and loving family I cared to adore through tons of past and present books. Mrs. Gallo is just a peach. We can all hope to be her and raise such wonderful children.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Throttled, the next book in the series which is a short novella of City and Suzy’s wedding. Our girl Izzy is waiting to be heard from as well along with Anthony and Thomas. Chelle Bliss get them coming and we will keep swooning over these fine Gallo men.
