Jax by J.L. Perry ~ 4 star ARC Review by Amy

How do you live without the one person on this earth who was made for you? A sexy, emotional love story by the author of the #1 international bestsellers Hooker and Bastard, featuring the beloved character Jax.

My name is Jaxson Albright. My friends call me Jax. I was brought up privileged, and I was supposed to follow in my father's footsteps and move into politics, but I had other plans. To my family's disgust, I'm inked, I'm pierced and I own and run a tattoo parlour in the hip suburb of Newtown, Sydney. I fit in here. I can be the man I was destined to be.

But I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my saviour, Candice. My pink haired angel. We grew up in the same circle - like me, she's an outcast. I have been in love with her for as long as I can remember. I can't get her out of my head. She still owns my damn heart.

If you loved the emotional journey J.L. Perry took you on in BASTARD and HOOKER, you'll lose yourself entirely in JAX.

Jax
J. L. Perry
4 stars

Jaxson Albright doesn’t want the life his father and mother want for him. His brother has done just fine following in his father's footstep making him proud and basically his puppet. Nothing he does is good enough and being himself is not allowed. His only light was Candice. His best friend who understands; who wants him to pursue his dreams .. not his father's demands of him. One night .. lines are crossed with both wanting more and then nothing. I disappeared on her. I took her greatest gift and left her. The only person that ever really loved me, stuck by me and cared for me no matter what. I left .. without a word or a goodbye. I did it for her own good … she was better off without me.

Candice never has forgotten how much her best friend hurt her. She thought they were something but she was wrong. By the time Jax realizes what he has done maybe it will be too late. Struggling for several years over what Jax did doesn’t sit well but seeing him now is … another chance?

Jax and Candice have a very complicated relationship that drove me insane. If this book teaches you anything it's that communication is everything. I wanted to scream and just say good lord figure it out. It was frustrating. At times I didn’t want to keep reading but the characters and supporting characters kept me turning the pages. There is an amazing character Brian --- another named Carter and Gus is hilarious.

Although I was over the ignorance of the couple the story was very intriguing as far as where the characters were headed and what was in store. Jax also had a heart of gold which was also a great addition to the story.

I don’t know if this is a series or where Jax came from but I did like the book and the story was an easy read. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Thank you for the ARC J.L. – Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

The Promise of December by K.L. Jessop ~ 5 star Review by Amy

Christmas.
That bittersweet word that plays on my mind every goddamn year. Some people love it, I don’t like the fact I still live around it. Like any other child, Christmas for me was the most magical time of all. The winter walks, the smell of fresh cinnamon and candy canes, the excitement in the pit of my stomach where I found it hard to sleep. I loved that.
But once you reach adulthood you soon realise that life is cruel and fairy tales are bullshit! And at twenty-one, that magic and belief were torn from my grasp and I suddenly wanted to be that little girl again.
December now means nothing. Christmas hurts. And the only coldness I feel is what’s congealed around my heart. Nothing would change, and no one could change it.
Then I met him.

This book is a standalone.
***This novella contains adult/mature young adult situations. It is only suitable for ages 18+ due to language and sexual situations***

The Promise of December
K.L. Jessop
5 stars

It's my first Christmas read of the season and I loved it. I believe this is a novella but the thing is I don’t know for what series of for what upcoming book! I need info K.L. Jessop because this was such a great read!

Tamzin doesn’t do December. The loss of her grandparents has made her shut the holidays out. It is the most magical time of the year, families are together, lights and decorations line the streets, the smells, the memories .. it's all too much. Her grandmother always told her to just believe but losing her and then her grandfather shortly after .. she cant believe in anything anymore. Therefore getting drunk off the nasty holiday punch at her company party is just the cure to shut out the nonsense of the hustle and bustle. Sexy Santa standing over in the corner doesn’t look too bad either.

Noel is taken with the beautiful woman standing in the corner alone. It’s the happiest time of the year and she looks sad. Not understanding why anyone would be sad during the holidays Noel makes it his mission to find out. Noel Thompson does not ever not get what he wants and right now that is the lady standing alone looking defeated.

After a long night of drinking Tamzin wakes up with smeared mascara, a night shirt on, a rats nest head of hair and to her dismay hears a grown. Turning to see what or who made that grown she sees the most mouth watering man she is ever laid eyes on. Why is this man in her bed and what in the heck happened last night.

Noel is a charmer for sure. Holy wow …. And what a family. James .. love him too. This is a wonderful warm and fuzzy feeling holiday read. I loved the banter between Noel and Tamzin but I also loved the true emotion from Tamzin at the loss she suffered. Noel has his own secrets and loss that he holds in his heart but his family never let it ruin them. The month of December .. this story takes us through all the emotions that go with such a special time. Believe …. That’s all you have to do.

Click this one up friends! This is worth your time and pennies. Make this one your first holiday piece of happiness between the pages. You will enjoy every minute.

If anyone knows where I can get me some more of these characters let me know! I need to follow this amazing family!

Amy's 5 star ARC Review of No Way In Hell: A Steel Corps/Trident Security Crossover Book 1 & 2 by Samantha Cole and J.B. Havens

No Way in Hell is a novel separated into 2 novellas. Reading Book 1 is necessary for Book 2.

Steel Corps—an elite, covert U.S. military team led by Staff Sergeant Bea ‘Mic’ Michaels, based out of a secure location in Pennsylvania.

Trident Security—a private security agency located in Tampa, Florida, comprised of retired Navy SEALs.

T. Carter—U.S. spy and assassin.

What do they have in common? They all do Uncle Sam’s dirty work.

How did they get started and how did their paths cross? Find out as they prepare to join forces to take down a domestic terrorist organization with one goal in mind—to destroy what these men and one woman will fight to the death to protect—life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

No Way in Hell is a two-part crossover novel uniting J.B. Haven’s Steel Corps Series and Samantha A. Cole’s Trident Security Series. While reading both series is not necessary prior to reading No Way in Hell, it is recommended for optimum enjoyment.

No Way In Hell: A Steel Corps/Trident Security Crossover Book 1 & 2
Samantha Cole and J.B. Havens

10 stars … ( That’s 5 each friends or give them both all 10 .. just read the books)

So it's no secret that I love all of Samantha Cole’s books – we all know Im a huge fan – I could not wait to get my hands on this two book series.

I was thrilled to get a look back into T. Carter’s childhood. As tainted as it was I understood now what continue to drives Carter to be the person that he is. No one should fear him except for the person or persons he is gunning for. Loyal to the end and always there in the shadows if you have this man’s loyalty you are one lucky gem. The blonde locks – the eminent charm – of a deadly U.S. spy and assassin … gives me goose bumps.

Bea Michaels who turns into Sergeant Bea “Mic” Michaels is not a stranger to a dark past. Thank goodness for her Aunt who loved her and took her in from her abusive father. When her mother died he changed according to her. He was lost and Bea became the person who killed her instead of the daughter he should have loved and treasured. Surviving then and surviving now, Bea is pulled into an elite covert U.S. military team. Only knowing Carter by a number and vice versa the two are about to cross paths in one of the most crucial missions of their lives.

The Trident men are also kicking ass and taking names. You could not give me enough of the backstory of the boys. Not only do we get to see them in action prior to opening the private security agency but we also get one small sentence that made my heart full …. We hear of Jen and her parents when they were still alive.

Mic and her right hand Phillips are off to meet Carter as he has infiltrated the group being brought down. What happens next is not rainbows and lollipops …. It's one hard core mission that has its ups and downs; some harder to take than others. Bea has things in her head that need to get straight and Carter can see straight into her thoughts. Being the man he is, Carter steps up to the plate and takes on the toughest woman he has ever met.

Bea – can I be her? I want to be her. Own that life girl …..

I simply LOVED LOVED LOVED these books. Me…. I always want more. I always wish for more. So ladies .. get to writing. Book one ends with somewhat of a cliffy. Nothing too fierce but definitely has you taking a gut check knowing whats about to go down and who is going in. Book two – you are going to lose it.

Why … because …. NEVER did I see Carter in such a light as I do now. If before I thought he was a diamond in a haystack – the man is now the freaking Harry Winston Isadora.

Thank you ladies for honoring me with an ARC. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets

Amy's 5 star ARC Review of Amore Part 2 by Bella Jewel

Second and final instalment in the thrilling romance series, Amore.

Run.
He told me to run. So I ran.
It turns out just because you run from something, doesn’t mean it can’t find you.
He’s coming for me.
He wants what I hold closest.
He wants to lie, manipulate and use me.
He wants me to betray him.
Rafael.
Leader of the Italian Mafia.
Love of my life.
Father of my child.
He’s going to make me do the unthinkable.
There is no way out.
I’m trapped and about to make the biggest mistake of my life.
I’m running full throttle towards an oncoming train, and there isn’t a single thing I can do to stop it.
I’m going to become what I was most afraid of.
A monster.

**Contains adult themes**

5 stars

The conclusion of Amore … heck yes! I was biting my nails at the cliffhanger that was smacked in our face in book one. Holy moly …

We dive right in with Juliette in labor. With her mother at her side (which she is not loving due to what was realized in book one) she is trying to figure out how to protect her child from the evil that is lurking outside her door. Begging for a few more minutes before her life becomes owned and manipulated, Julie is getting ready to betray the man she loves or loved ….

Rafael needs to find the person responsible for the problems he is having with the business. Whomever is crossing the mafia is brave yet stupid. They won't last and he will find them. Seeing Juliette again has him twisted on the inside. He will have what he wants and what he wants is her back in his bed. Little does he know that his child has been born.

Can I say high five that we get to touch base with the men and women of Jokers Wrath … HECK YES! I can't say much more as I don’t want to say why but I read those pages over and over. What a freaking treat for fans of the MC. It made me miss them even more than I already do.

With a heinous man driving Julie to do the unthinkable will she ever be able to forgive herself and will she survive to raise her son. There is a lot of times in this book I wanted to reach out and punch a few folks but that was done for me by Julie --- get it girl! I also loved Vincent and Ceila – I loved her sass and her ability to put some of the most powerful men in their place with no regard for her safety. I really hope we get a book about her and where she goes from here. The loss .. broke my heart.

Thanks for a fantastic two book read Bella! BRAVO as always! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Amy's 5 star Review of Written in the Scars by Adriana Locke

Falling in love is easy.

Falling out of love is the hardest thing in the world.

And Elin and Ty Whitt are terrible at it.

The first time the local basketball star smiled at Elin, she was a goner. It was just so damn easy to fall for the dark-haired hometown hero with his charming smile and strong, athletic build.

Thousands of sleepy smiles, aimless drives down country roads, and squeaks of the backdoor after a swing shift later, reality hits. And it hits hard. Falling in love was definitely the easy part. Watching it break apart was impossible.

Through the tears, the second-guesses, the memories of a life built together, the world keeps spinning. With each turn comes clarity and hope—sometimes in the form of a pair of muddy boots by the back door or from the words of a wise friend.

When Ty shows back up with a newfound determination to put his family back together, Elin's torn between the fights of the past and the possibility of a new start. This is the man that holds her heart, the man she loves beyond anything else. But this is also the one person in the world that can cause her the most pain.

Life’s not always easy. Love’s not for the faint of heart. But with life comes lessons and Ty and Elin have the scars to prove it. But it's their love written in those scars that will hold them together … or break them apart.

A brand new STANDALONE ROMANCE from USA Today Bestselling author Adriana Locke.

5 stars

Dear lord … two emotionally draining books in two days for me. Elina and Ty Whitt are a couple whom you will soon not forget. Each page is a continually stream of pulling you heart out of your chest and stomping all over it. There were times I wanted to punch them both and tell them how ridiculous they were being but Cord took care of that for me. Sweet sweet Cord …. No words for that character. I will need numerous sleeps to recover from this one.

I'm not sure how to tell you to dive into this story except to use caution with your heart. What I will tell you is Elin and Ty’s book will teach you valuable lessons in love, trust, and compassion. It will also teach you that family isn’t always blood and those willing to put themselves in the path of harm shielding you are the ones who are the angels on earth. There are so many magnificent characters in this book. Lindsay, Jiggs, Becca, Yogi and more. Dustin is going to be a story in itself I hope as well as Becca down the road. I hope this is not the end. It can't be …

High school sweethearts, Elin and Ty are fighting to stay above ground with their feelings. Things happened, things were said, heartbreak was suffered alone and now struggling to get that back means opening up your heart for potentially another brutal lashing. With the wisdom of friends and the working together with the trials that stand before them they may just make it.

This was an incredible read. Bring your box of tissues because you are going to need it. I couldn’t catch my breath. I knew it was coming and I couldn’t prepare myself enough. I hope you click this one up. I'ts free on Kindle Unlimited and worth every penny if you have to swipe that card.

You are one heck of a storyteller Adriana. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Amy's 4.5 star review of Leaving Eva (The Eva Series #1) by Jennifer Sivec

How can we erase the memories that threaten to scar us?

On the outside, Brynn Michael appears to have it all. A successful career. A loving husband. A beautiful home.

But nobody, not even her husband, knows the depth of Brynn’s horror. Abandoned as a child on the side of the road by her young, drug-addicted mother, then later abused by her adoptive father, Brynn has spent her entire life hiding her physical and emotional scars.

As Brynn struggles to overcome her past so that she and Adam can begin a family of their own, the darkness refuses to let her go. The peace that Brynn has tried so desperately to cultivate seems just out of reach and even the love of Adam may not be enough to weather the storm.

Leaving Eva is the tragic and suspenseful story of one woman’s battle to overcome abandonment and abuse. In this powerful novel, author Jennifer Sivec explores the human resolve and our ability to not only survive, but thrive.

Publisher’s note: This story is intended for mature audiences. It contains scenes depicting graphic violence and strong language.

4.5 stars

I'm not even sure how to start this review but I'm going to try my best … Tracy met this wonderful author at a book signing not to long ago. Jennifer then sent us Leaving Eva – not knowing what I was about to read I was completely overtaken with grief and torment within the first few pages. I thought to myself what in the heck have I gotten myself into. When an author can create characters and situations that in turn make you emit so many emotions you are holding your breath that’s a wonderful thing.

Eva .. or Brynn lives in pain and fear. Fear of losing loved ones, pain of being hurt, pain of being left and pain in the scars she hides from everyone. Eva Is living nothing short of a tragic life. I kept thinking to myself .. no more. Please no more. How much can one person take and yet the unimaginable just kept coming.

This book is layers upon layers of events that weave into one another. At times you feel like you are reading numerous characters stories but they are all Eva’s. Glimpses of who Brynn really is flicker in her dreams but there is nothing and no one to help with those memories. Every time you think Eva is about to break free from the vines of darkness they grow stronger against her. I kept thinking to myself please let this end for her. … please give this character the happiness that she deserves … please let her find her way.

What I can tell you is that you need to keep reading … what I can also tell you is you do get that happiness but then …… I laid my kindle down and whispered .. “what the frick” … I could not believe it…. So now I need to know when is book 2 out.

Thank you .. I think .. Jennifer for the ARC as you have completely taxed every nerve and possible emotion in my body. There are some characters in this release that are mentioned in a very small sense that I do believe will play a major role in the next release the way things were left. I have a feeling it's going to be like a freight train derailing and hitting the side of a mountain. Help us all …
Thank you Jennifer for the read. You destroyed me … and that’s a wonderful thing. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

If you have any kind of triggers centered around abuse .. do not click this book up.

Amy's 5 star ARC Review of Crossover: Devil's Due MC and Vipers Creed MC Prequel by Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele

Two motorcycle clubs, two different reasons for being, and one lifestyle find each other together.

– Devil’s Due MC –
Respect is earned, never freely given.
Our road is a path for justice. Nomads always on the open highway, we follow the trail, no matter where it leads, everyone be damned.

– Vipers Creed MC –
Respect is hard earned.
Live by the creed, die by the creed. If you aren’t with us, you’re against us. If you step into our world, your balls better be big and your cock even bigger.
Brothers, bikes, and bitches collide. Respect is everything.

When two clubs cross over into each other’s worlds, only madness, mayhem, vengeance, and heat can possibly ensue.

This is a cross over novella between two established MC series. This story takes place before the series begins so it is not necessary to read anything before this book. This work of fiction contains violence, language, and situations intended for mature audiences. This is not meant to be an exact depiction of life in a motorcycle club, but rather a work of fiction meant to entertain.

So Crossover isn't a book as it sounds. It's both clubs; Devils Due and Vipers Creed meeting each other. It's more of an introduction. Meeting the guys from each side was very thrilling to say the least. The first few pages ... Holy smokes.

These book gives you a view into "before" the currently released books took place. I absolutely love this as you are getting more of the story.

Spook is the President of Vipers Creed and changes are being put into play. What this man puts into getting the club where he wants it to be is something else. Wanting the MC to be a family is exactly what he wants.

The Devils Due men are heading to Tennessee. Each man is having his own adventure on their way to meet up. There are some doozies. Searching for things only they understand the men won't stop until they find what they are looking for. Heading into Viper territory they have to come to some much needed agreements before they can travel on.

I really loved these two clubs together and lord knows I love the MCs. Really great read and I hope we get more. Two of my favorite authors writing together ... Yes please!
And .... I love the cover ... Magnificent ...

Thank you ladies for the ARC ... Click it up. You won't regret it. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Amy's 4 star ARC Review of Rock's Redemption (Insurgents MC #8) by Chiah Wilder

Rock is the ripped, handsome Sergeant-At-Arms for the Insurgents MC. Being one of the club’s officers, women clamor to share his bed. The biker’s more than willing to oblige as long it’s a short-time hookup; long-term relationship is not part of his vocabulary. He’s only been in love once—a long time ago—and the end result was shattering. He learned his lesson: keep his heart encased in steel.
The tragic night that sent him to prison is over even though it still simmers inside him. But once he joined the Insurgents MC, he vowed to leave the past darkness and disappointments back in Louisiana. He’s embraced his new life of brotherhood, booze, easy women, and Harleys. It suits him just fine. Some things are best left alone, especially a pretty brunette who destroyed his heart.
Easy sex has become his mantra.
Until his past crashes into his life….

Clotille Boucher is the wealthy, spoiled girl who’d stolen Rock’s heart many years ago. From a young age, family loyalty was drilled into her, so when darkness engulfed her and Rock, fleeing seemed to be the only way out for her. Deciding to make a new life for herself, she didn’t count on having to pay for the sins of her brother.
Just when her life doesn’t seem like it could get worse, a face from her past gives her a glimmer of hope. Shamed that Rock has to see how far she’s fallen, she pretends her life is exactly what she wants, but his penetrating stare tells her he’s not buying her act. Fearful that the secrets of the past will catch up with her and Rock, her inclination is to do what she does best—run away. Only problem is, Rock’s not letting her slip away so easily this time.

Can two damaged people learn to trust one another again? Will Rock be able to reconcile the demons that have plagued him since that tragic night? Does Clotille offer him redemption or destruction?
As Rock and Clotille maneuver the treacherous waters of their past and present, someone is lurking behind the shadows to make sure the truth never comes out.

The Insurgents MC series are standalone romance novels. This is Rock and Clotille’s love story. This book contains violence, sexual assault (not graphic), strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. It describes the life and actions of an outlaw motorcycle club. If any of these issues offend you, please do not read the book. HEA. No cliffhangers! The book is intended for readers over the age of 18

4 stars

So I love this series by Chiah and Rock is no exception.

The Sergeant At Arms is a hard man. His past drives his future. You get a great look into that past at the beginning of the story. Its not an easy past for that matter .. either of the characters. However, the night that changed his life is forever is burned into Rock's memories. Never again. The Insurgents MC keeps him in check and keeps his anger and feelings in check. Loss is what he believes love leads to. Loving his new life within the MC the women are easy and there are zero strings attached. If a woman wants to try to stick her claws into him he never touches her again. There is no one that can open up his stone cold heart … except for Clotille … why the hell is she here. His past was supposed to stay there. Seeing her again it feels like the wounds and the things that have tormented him are not the past but have morphed into the present.

Clotille knows Rock doesn’t know what she did for him. There were too many secrets and too many things that threatened them. Loyalty to her family was her number one priority. It's all she was taught from day one. Her brother has forced her to where she is now. Rock gets to see her broken and at the bottom. Scared and alone she is running towards something. She won't involve him and she wont let her heart suffer another time.

This is a well written release for Insurgent fans. I really love getting back with old friends and also meeting new ones. What a dang roller coaster these two are on. You talk about deception .. yup.
I love this MC family and look forward to reading more. Each book is considered a standalone but you all know I love reading them all as they do fit together when characters appear from previous books. I will say the dialect at the beginning of the book is a little tough to get through but there is a list of verbiage. Hang in there and push through it – you will enjoy the pages that come.

Thank you Chiah for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings Form Beneath the Sheets.

Amy's 3.5 star ARC Review Engage (The Disciples' Daughters #3) by Drew Elyse

Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.

They came for her in the night.
When she wakes, she’s in a cell.
She has no idea if it will help, but it is the only option she has:
She tells them she belongs to the Savage Disciples MC.

A Disciple will fight like a savage when it counts.

Years ago, he lost everything.
Now, the club is the only thing Jager allows himself to care about.
Nothing matters but his Savage Disciple brothers.
At least, until she arrives and he has a decision to make.

This biker has no idea what choosing to engage could mean to a Disciple's daughter.

3. 5 stars

So this is book three in a series of standalones yet I don’t feel like I knew enough background to fully enjoy this book. There were numerous characters that I had no idea where they came from or what their back stories were. Having said that its not a bad book Im just one of those that wants the entire backdrop before I move forward.

Ember has been kidnapped in the middle of the night. After she is taken she convinces her captures that the Disciples MC will pay top dollar for her. The men not wanting to tangle with an MC bring Ember to the club and sell her back for a hefty price. Her plan must have worked when Ember wakes up at the clubhouse not knowing how she got there.

Jager has no idea who the woman is that the men brought to him. They claim she told them the MC would pay top dollar for her. Not knowing who she belongs to he pays the price. Finding out Ember is the daughter of one of the Founders, he starts playing babysitter for the girl. Trying to keep his feelings at bay he dives into a world of unknown vowing to find out who took her. There is also lots of skeletons hiding in this man's closet. He has a past that drives him to close the world out.

This book holds suspense and lots of twist and turns. However again I didn’t read the first two books so I felt a little lost at who folks were. If you are reading this series I'm sure you will love it as the characters are a mystery and well written.

Thank you for the ARC Drew. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Amy's 4 star ARC Review of The Hitman's Possession: A Bad Boy Mafia Romance (Book 1) by Tia Lewis

I'm a hard, ruthless, and brutal killer… but I'm not letting her go.

I'm the most feared man in South Boston. I've earned that title and the nickname "The Animal." Women may think it’s because I'm wild in bed, and one night with me and they’d f*cking know it.

But there’s a darker reason for my reputation... I think nothing about ending a life. Feelings are a luxury I can’t afford.

Until her.

I hear Tess cry for help and I give into the urge to help her. One look at her and I knew I had to risk it all to rescue her. I'm no knight in shining armor; I'm saving her so I can keep the sexy spitfire for myself.

But the mob wants her back. She wasn’t meant to live through that night.

No f*cking way I'm going to let that happen. Tess ignites a fire within me like nothing I've ever known. Her legs are meant to be wrapped around me, and only me.I'll take on the whole Russian mob ―hell, the whole world―to keep the one woman who’s meant to belong to me.

I'll kill every bastard that tries to take her away. She can try to run, but she’s not getting away from this hitman. She's my possession now.

The Hitman’s Possession is a full-length dark romance novel that's intended for mature audiences only. This novel address issues of a serious nature, including violence surrounding the nature of consent that may be a trigger for sensitive readers; contains disturbing situations, graphic language, violence and explicit sexual content. Reader discretion is strongly advised. Cliffhanger warning. This book also contains a bonus book, Threat by Tia Lewis.

If you don't like your heroes dark & brooding, and your sex rough & dirty, look away now.

4 stars

The Animal – the most feared man in his town. I don’t feel – I don’t care – I kill. Until I heard a cry for help. I should have turned the other way and ignored it but I couldn’t. I was bored and I should have been more serious knowing I was headed into something that was going to make me pull out my go to Heckler and Koch but I had done this a million times over. Going in blind was nothing new. Who was I to ignore the screams – she was desperate. It wasn’t a man screaming over and over – it was her. Tess

Tess isn’t supposed to live – she was supposed to die. Tess is trying to run but she wont make it far without me. Yet she doesn’t want me either. She is trying to survive but the mob wants her dead. The man who found her is ruthless. He is just as bad as the men she is running from. For some reason he wants to keep her alive. Not knowing which was to turn Tess might just need to stay close to the dangerous man they call The Animal. It may be her only chance to survive.

This book ends on a cliffy and it’s a good one. I didn’t see the cliffy coming as I thought we would be all squared away by the last page but no such luck. Liam has a mouth on him. Goodness he gets straight to the point but it fits his character perfectly. Until Tess there was no one for him to feel for or no one that he wanted to feel for. Wanting to keep a woman safe is new to him. Wanting to keep anyone safe is new to him but this woman is meant for him. He wont let her go and he will die himself keeping her alive.

There was a lot of action packed drama in this book. Tia did a really good job with the characters and it kept me turning the pages. Like I said I was shocked somewhat to find a cliffhanger at the end and am anxious to find out what happens next.

Thank you for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
