Rumor Has It by Elisabeth Grace

The author sent me a copy of this book to read for an honest review.  After reading two books  that didn't really do it for me... I was leary to start anything else. I started this and fell into it.  It was Great!   This debut novel was AWESOME-SAUCE!  MASON NASH.... YUM!

I was nervous going into was about a white Hip Hip artist.  Something You don't read to much about. She managed to write this story beautifully.   It was an unusual meeting of two had a lot of humor and of course the sex scenes were H O T! I enjoyed the dual POV's.  This review is short and sweet.... go buy this book!  It was great!

I enjoyed having a female that was independent!  Although she had a tad bit of low self esteem.  I was glad the author didn't go into too much detail or linger around the fact that Mason was a man whore.  We get to see a softer sweeter side of a male character.   Both of the characters have struggles in their lives and learning to deal with things together. I liked how Ellie truly had no idea who he was when she met him.

Ellie is struggling to get past a video that went viral and to land a job on her own.  Mason is on a "vaca" of sorts trying to get some down time and away from the limelight.  With a mother who gives him a run for his money....a music career....and two younger siblings he is trying to look out for....he has a lot riding on his shoulders.  Meeting Ellie was not in the cards.   But one they meet.....there is no denying the attraction they have for one another.  It's not an easy ride for them.  Ellie doesn't want to be in the celebrity limelight and Mason won't give up.  With a manager who doesn't seem to care for Ellie and a TV reality show on the line...some drama....laugh out loud sex....sweet moments....will Mason and Ellie find their HEA? Can they get past everything dating a celebrity can bring?   I can't wait to see where she takes us in book two.

This story held my attention and was very refreshing.  Like I said... I had just read two books from two authors I love and was let down and Elisabeth got me out of my slump.

USED by Lynetta Halat Cover Reveal

I am a slut. No worries. I've come to terms with it, and you will too. I’m not one of those girls who thinks she’s too plain, too fat, too skinny, too shy … no, I don’t have that kind of luck. I’m the girl who knows she’s just right for everyone. — Denver

A reputation as a manwhore–with–a–heart–of–gold tends to precede me. But, I don’t do girls with issues, that is until this girl. It's this girl I want to fix. This girl I want to protect. And maybe … more. — Ransom

Being in love with the same girl your entire life isn't all it's cracked up to be. She uses me in every way imaginable. How does she see me? I am her perpetual one-night stand. No strings, no attachments. Just mind-numbing sex ... for her anyway. — Greer

Feeling like the life is being choked out of her in the small town of Anaconda, Montana, Denver Dempsey craves the escape that college offers …even if that means leaving her “best friend with benefits” and looking for a new way to forget. Thinking she's found the perfect hookup in Ransom, Denver's outlook on college is bright. That is, until Greer shows up looking for a second chance, and Ransom's interest turns to hatred.

Love. Hate. Triangle.

Who's using who?

Meet Denver
“She’s, at best, a fuck buddy. However, I prefer the term ‘whore.’ Fuck buddy is far too nice a term for her,” a catty voice cracks from behind me.
I take a deep breath and look up at the ceiling, saying a little prayer that maybe the venomous voice isn't referring to me. I thought I’d left all that behind in Anaconda. We’d been here for all of three days, so it’s highly probable they’re not talking about me, right?  Looking back down, I continue pouring Jack in my Solo cup, surpassing the line that is recommended for liquor.
“Yeah, so apparently, she’s got some serious issues and doesn't ‘do’ relationships. So, she puts out for her guy friends whose girls are too good to give it up. That’s her idea of a relationship.”
“Really? That’s kinda gross,” I hear the other girl mutter.
Sonofabitch! I groan. Yep, they’re talking about me. I splash a little Coke in my cup and stick my finger in it to stir it around a little. I feel tears spring to my eyes and berate myself for still having feelings and giving a shit what people think about me. Years of dealing with this crap should have made me immune, but I’d really hoped college would be different. And how the hell do they even know about that shit? Strengthening my spine, I turn and give them a beguiling smile, which causes them both to blanch. Yeah, bitches, you've no idea who you’re dealing with.
“Ladies,” I say with a quirked eyebrow. Removing my finger from the drink, I place it in my mouth and suck off the excess. With a pop, I release it. “I see my reputation precedes me. Well, let me just reassure you that I’m very good at what I do. When you won’t give it up for your guy, he’ll be looking me up, and I’ll be more than happy to take care of him. No questions. No strings. Just lots of meaningless … hot … sex.” I peer around them with a searching look. “Are they here? Your boyfriends?” I look back at them innocently. I almost snort at their mutual expressions of surprise and disdain. “Or,” I continue, “are the sticks up your asses enough so that you don’t need a man?” Both of their mouths drop on that line. Yep, gets ‘em every time. “Oh, no judgment here,” I vow. “I totally get not wanting to be tied down to any one Dick … or Tom … or Harry.”

The Sweetest Game (The Perfect Game #3) by J. Sterling

Like everyone else who picked up book one in this series "The Perfect Game" I FELL IN LOVE WITH JACK F'ING CARTER.... Then in book two.... EHHHHH... I still loved him....just fell a little flat for me.... Well..... here we are in book three and I go away feeling closure with Kitten and Jack and yet I wasn't blown away.

I won't go into the details of this book.... it will spoil it.... I do appreciate the work she put into giving us more Kitten and Jack and giving us the closure we all wanted and needed.

I think everyone should read this if they are Jack Carter fans because you will want to see where their relationship goes and how their lives end up.  I just felt most of this could have been included in previous books.  It felt a tad drawn out to me in some parts.

One Ride (The Hellions Ride #1) by Chelsea Camaron REVIEW

Delilah “Doll” Reklinger never imagined her life with anyone that wasn't a Hellion. She never imagined a Hellion would come along and prove himself worthy enough to her father, Roundman, Hellions Club President. Content in living in the bubble of safety the motorcycle club family has always provided, Doll never thought that danger surrounded her.

Roundman has kept the Hellions contained for the last thirty years by controlling the chaos surrounding their lifestyle. When the dangerous side to their business comes knocking on his door, he realizes his precious Doll isn't’t safe. The Hellions code may be that women and children are off limits in any altercation or dispute, but that doesn't mean their enemies follow that same moral compass.

His only child, now in danger from the association to him and his club, Roundman makes a decision. He sends her away to a charter club, in hopes that the trouble won’t follow.
One ride across the country. One simple ride. Talon “Tripp” Crews has been ordered to take Doll on one ride away and to keep her safe. She’s off limits, his head knows this, but his body can’t deny the sparks between them. She’s feisty, fierce, and fearless. Constantly in close confines together, can they deny the chemistry? Will they give into the attraction between them? Can one ride turn lust into love?

UGH  I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to LOVE this book!  I have said this before - I am a MC Book WHORE and this one sadly left me Unsatisfied!  It was good.... just not 5 stars - leaving me on the edge of my seat- OMG that did not just happen - JESUS that was HOT- hard core Raunchy OVER THE TOP Crazy ass Biker Club shit GOOD!

I enjoyed the story.  I loved the characters - I really was just missing the whole DRAMA and something BAD has got to happen soon.  I missed the hardcore raunchy shit.  Maybe that just isn't her style and that is okay too.  I hate writing reviews when I can not give them 5 stars.... hell even 4 stars... but I was told by an author friend... to be honest....SO I will try my best...without hurting feelings....  So here goes - It was typical and predictable to me.  We have HOT ALPHA male biker and the sex is good and it took this ONE RIDE for Tripp to see that Doll was "THE ONE".....  You know MC Princess.  Presidents daughter - off limits - they lust for each other etc etc..... but in other books with this same scenerio we have some kind of MAJOR SHIT FEST.... Some kind OF DRAMA.... this one didn't have that.  I mean yes, there is a Small amount of drama.... the reason they must leave town on this "Ride" together but it was YAWN..... ZZZZZZZ...boring.  Honestly, if it weren't for the sex I would have quit reading it.  I know that is terrible to say.   We usually have club whores who are causing broken hearts, blood, fights, foul language etc and something MAJOR that just GUTS me.... this might of had a small taste of that but not on the level I want and needed in a MC book.  Yes Tripp does a few shitty things and then turns around and does something to make you love him.   I wanted more of a build up in their relationship too.  I needed the angst you get when they are just being total dick heads.

Something major goes down.  Part of the reason they have left town.  And yet we hear nothing of this in the story... one minute they are out for revenge....the next it's done and over with.... Ummmm....that to me is part of why we love MC books.  We want details.  We want to hear how things went down.

BUT - I can't LOVE every book I read.  There are plenty of readers who have and will love this one.  And I will say again that it wasn't  the worst book.  It was good... I just needed more.  Will I read the next book... YES....  Maybe she can win my heart completely and go all MC hardcore raunchy - OMG I'm gutted - crazy in the next one ;)   Because I do want to hear TANK's story....

I'm sorry I didn't LOVE LOVE It Chelsea... don't hate me...
P.S. Apparently I am the only one who didn't 5 star love this.  Everyone else gives it 5... so don't let my review stop you from giving it a try......

Teaser #1 (unedited and subject to change)

When I go to sit on the end opposite him, he reaches out and gently grasps my wrist pulling me down beside him, causing my heart to start fluttering in my chest. I feel his hand on my ponytail pulling the holder out and dropping it in my lap. Then his fingers are gently running through my hair.

“So what happens after you graduate?” he asks while looking straight in my eyes.

“I’m not sure yet. I could teach art or try the sell my work.” I shrug because I have no idea what I want to do yet.

“Have you ever showed your work?”

“I will be this summer. I’m going to an art show in Tennessee.”

“Sounds like fun.” He replies.

His body tenses just enough for me to notice, and then his hand tightens in my hair, slightly tugging it. I have to take a deep breath just to hold in the groan that wants to come out.

“You could go with me, if you want.”

Well that’s better than a no.

That was also the end of our conversation. Spencer used his grip in my hair to turn my head to face him. Our mouths meet and it wasn't a sweet “hi, nice to meet you” kiss. It was a “I want you naked now” kinda kiss.
Before I know what I am doing, I am straddling his waist with my hands on each side of his head.

He doesn't release my hair as he devours my mouth. His other hand is running down my back to my hip and back up. We kiss for what feels like hours and I’m crazy with desire. I feel his hand slip under the waist band of my pants and grip one bare butt cheek. Spencer groans and then his mouth leaves mine and my head is pulled back exposing my neck to him.
Spencer runs his tongue down my throat to my collar bone. He pulls my lower body closer to his connecting our centers together, and now it’s me that’s groaning. I press closer to him and began to rock my hips against him. He squeezes my ass hard again, before taking his
hand to push up my shirt and expose my breasts to him. He fondles one breast in his hand while taking the nipple of the other in his mouth. I am about to come just from this.

“Spencer,” I pant out his name, my breath is seriously short right now. I’m surprised I got that much out.

“Yeah?” He says against my breast as he runs his tongue around my nipple.

That’s it, that’s all I can say. I feel so needy and know he’s the only one that can put out this fire he’s started. I let go of his head and start tugging at his shirt, I want to feel his skin against mine. He releases me long enough to get it over his head. We probably shouldn't be doing this yet, but damn I can’t seem to stop. I want more; I need more.  I stand up and kick off my shoes and push my yoga pants down, leaving me in nothing but my thong. Spencer stands up in front of me looking down, his eyes searching mine. I guess whatever he found there was enough for him. He kisses me hard and deep and the next thing I know I’m hoisted over his shoulder and he’s moving, hopefully heading toward his bedroom.

Just Breathe Trilogy Book Blitz

For the first time the three books in the Just Breathe Trilogy - Just Breathe, Barely Breathing and Forever Breathing - are available in one volume.  This gorgeous mermaid trilogy tells us the story of brother and sister, James and Ever Harding and their journey into an unknown world where unbelievable things are possible.

Through their adventure they each learn about love, family, and responsibility. They are faced with many challenges throughout the trilogy and they must choose to stand up and fight for what they believe in.

As an added bonus this three volume edition contains a new, extended ending to this wonderful trilogy, so be sure to pick it up to read the final chapter in James, Ever and of course, Jack’s story.

Just Breathe (Just Breathe #1)

Ever Harding, an average teenager with a passion for swimming is about to turn eighteen. Out of the blue she has been dumped by her long time boyfriend, which is the ultimate of tragedies in her life. Little does she know that on that fated eighteenth birthday, she will have to make a choice that will change her life as she knows it, forever.

A month before her birthday, Ever meets Jack, a mysterious new boy with mesmerizing eyes. He affects her like no one else. This meeting sets things into a whirlwind she never would have dreamed. With Jack's guidance she discovers a family line that leads her to the sea. She must make the ultimate choice, stay on land where life as she knows it, won't change, or go and live in the sea as a mermaid with Jack.

Ultimately her choice sets into motion an even bigger decision, in which she has the fate of a race of people, in her hands. The people in the sea are in a feud, she will tip the balance. She must battle the ageless moral dilemma of prejudice and race. Once she comes to terms with her life changing choices, she must ask herself, Did I make the right decisions?and Is Jack really who I think he is?

Barely Breathing (Just Breathe #2)

Ever Harding used to believe in love. That is until she was left heartbroken by the only person she ever really loved, Jack, the mysterious boy from her history class. Little did she know he was born of the sea, on land to watch over her. But was he really? She made the ultimate sacrifice, to live in the sea as a mermaid, for Jack and for love. But she found that in the end, that love wasn't enough.

Now she finds herself alone, having to make a huge choice. She must decide whether to defend others against the choices she has made or fight for the freedoms of a population, she has just become a part of.

Ever's brother James, became a part of the sea not by any choice of his own, but he is willing to embrace it as long as a certain long legged, beauty is by his side. But as his sister found, things are not always as they seem.

In the end what they feared the most comes to reality, the battle, waged between staying true to life in the sea or changing a race of people to become more powerful and diverse. Will Ever and James survive the lines drawn in the sand or will they have to battle each other for what they believe?

Little do they know the battle in the end, will be something entirely different than what they were ready for.

Forever Breathing (Just Breathe #3)
Ever Harding has finally found where she belongs, with Jack in the sea. Just when she thought she could start her new life, a new threat forms on the horizon. She must make her biggest choice yet. Is she willing to risk everything to save the love of her life and all she holds dear?

James discovers yet again that his purpose is greater than anything he could ever imagine. He thought he had it all figured out, but sometimes things can be very deceiving. Is he willing to stand up for all he believes is right?

In the final book of the ‘Just Breathe’ trilogy, Ever and James find themselves not against each other but fighting together to preserve the freedoms of others. Will they be able to defend the right to choose when the odds are hugely against them?
