In this book we follow the story of Blake "the Snake" Daniels and Layla "the Mouse" (nickname given to her by Blake).  

Both with pasts that haunt them.  Both Fighting to Forgive! 

Layla- who left a marriage full of emotional abuse- is now raising a teenage daughter in a new city, starting a new job...on her own.  She's timid, yet feisty! Taking a job as an assistant to the CEO of the UFL.  First job she has had in years.  Day one....Enters Blake!  =)  

Blake - Top Fighter....ladies man....man whore...Hottie.....funny.....cocky......can be sweet......his troubled past has a hold of him.  He's afraid of commitment and intimacy.  Reasons being a man whore work for him.... 

Layla and Blake have an immediate attraction.  Layla knowing her focus right now needs to be her daughter and her new job.  Blake knows training for his next fight should be his top focus.  

The flirting and banter between the two of them had me smiling.  The chemistry between them was HOT! I mean melt your panties HOT!  =)   Once they give in and quit fighting their feelings!  Takes Layla a bit longer to follow through- thanks to the demons in her head.  Blake isn't use to these kind of feelings and it starts to freak him out a little , yet he feels the need to protect Layla and her daughter at all times.

Parts of their pasts come back at one point and shit happens.  Can they admit they love each other and will they have a HEA?  IF you enjoyed the first one (which I DID) you will enjoy this one. I'll be honest though,  I LOVED LOVED the first one....and yes I did enjoy this one.  It did lack some of what the first one had though.....there weren't really any OMG....edge of my seat moments like the first.  If you read the first you know what happens and what I am talking about.  With that being said....Let JB Salsbury take you into the world of Mouse (Layla) and Snake (Blake).  You will fall in love with them individually and you will fall in love with them as a couple.  


I give this ALMOST a 4 star...it was right there.... just needed the EDGE of my SEAT shit the first one had.
