Without a doubt this was not what I expected. LA Rose has written a witty and strong willed female character Fiona into the lead in this book. There were times I laughed out loud at the hilarious events that take place with the Phi Delta Chi ladies; Fiona of course leading the pack against the serious “gamer” Sigrid. She is one sick and twisted girl.

James Reid is our leading man. Once an actor who for some reason fell out of acting and ended up as USCD where all the ladies including the Phi Delta Chi’s are waging a war on each other to win one night alone with the blonde haired beautiful man.

Of course both characters especially James end up not being who you would think they would be. The book does deal with the serious issue of rape but its handled quite honestly and more so as a “warning” situation for our young ladies out there.

Fiona and James find themselves in some very humorous situations due all to Fiona’s doing. You wont believe where she came from as you flip the pages. This girl is feisty and full of confidence. Her roommate Iris adds to the hilarity of this book and maybe we might just see her show up in the next release as she meets a person of interest near the end.

I enjoyed reading James Games and it is a stand alone with an HEA. It’s a very light and comical read, great for a lazy day outdoors or cozying up by the fireplace on a rainy day. The story flows nicely and you learn a lot of James’ back story near the end as well. Nicely done LA Rose!
