Jared Roman has lived his entire
life feeling unworthy, unwanted and unloved. He’s lived a life of abuse, addiction
and abandonment.
Zhoe Dawson comes from a different
world than him. She comes from money and social status. But with that comes the
dictatorship her father runs. All Zhoe’s ever wanted is to break free of his
rules, and to feel loved.
When they learn Jared is the reason
for Zhoe’s pain, her loss, and heartbreak he tries to walk
away.
But, Zhoe offers him the one thing
he’ll never be able to leave behind – her
heart.
Can Zhoe’s love
save him from his past?
Can she help him conquer his fears
and doubts?
His lips are equal parts hard and soft. He
tastes like mint, beer and man and it is addicting. Needing more, I press my
mouth a little harder, opening a little more. I hear him groan, I feel it
vibrate through his chest. I’m not even aware we were moving until my back hits
a wall, but at some point he must have moved us across the dance floor to the
other side of the bar.
He leans down just slightly, enough to grip my
thighs in his strong hands, and hoists me up. Of their own accord my legs wrap
around his waist. I don’t care that we’re in the middle of the bar, I don’t
care that people I may know are here or that those same people are getting a
free show.
All I care about is how sexy and delicate this
man makes me feel, as he holds me in the air with one arm, the other running a
titillating path along one of my thighs with his warm, calloused palm.
His mouth comes down on mine. He doesn’t hold
back, he doesn’t hesitate. He knows exactly what he wants and he takes it. I’m
helpless to his assault. Opening to him he takes my tongue in his mouth,
sucking and stroking expertly. I feel like I’m drowning; his mouth is literally
devouring mine. And I fucking love it.
My hands are wandering along his upper body,
taking in his broad shoulders and thick biceps. Moving them back up I grip the
hair at the back of his neck I pull his head back, the second his eyes meet
mine I want to die. I would give anything to be able to blink my eyes and be
somewhere else. I’d give anything to be in a bed based on the look in his eyes
alone.
His dark brown irises are nearly black, his
pupils dilated with his desire. He looks hungry, feral, like he could eat me
alive and still not feel satisfied. My look must mirror his, then, because I
feel the exact same way.
