In the past 72 hours I have found myself unable to write a review on two exceptional books. I haven’t been able to write them because they were defining moments for me; they touched me so deeply that it felt as if they were written especially for me and only for me. Finding Parker by Scott Hildreth is book number two.

If I give you a synopsis of what I held on to from this poetic piece it might hinder what YOU need to find for yourself as you turn the pages. I will tell you, once again this incredibly talented author has not only given us a glimmer into himself, but he has also shown us, in the most romantic way, how we are not “being” in this life as we should.

This account of three lives is one of the most compelling and thought provoking stories I have read this year. The wisdom laid out on the pages is too much to wrap your mind around in one sitting. Highlight what makes your breath hitch, stirs your feelings and come back to it later. I don’t know who taught Mr. Hildreth these life lessons that he has gifted to us or if they are simply wisdom he has gained throughout his own experiences in his life and it really is not our right to know him that intimately. However, when an authors work makes you think about yourself as a person, how you have loved, lost, handled your ups and downs and where all of those circumstances took you, then that is a brilliant mind that we should be so lucky to have insight to no matter how small or large that insight is.

There are powerful messages on these pages. Some clearly stated while others not. This is a book of “goodness.” We have so little of that in our world today. I encourage you and I challenge you to read this epic tale and NOT find ONE thing that awakens something inside you. This one is going to leave you on an emotional hangover; one so heavy that you will go back and read those pieces you highlighted over and over. Go find your inspiration …. And thank you Scott Hildreth.
