4 star Review of Interference by Dakota Madison

Amy's Review of Interference – Dakota Madison
4 stars

Synopsis

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Dakota Madison returns with another spicy sports romance. This story set in the world of college basketball.

Neuroscience student SEDONA MILLER is perfectly imperfect. She's slightly nerdy and slightly eccentric, but completely brilliant.

When an unfortunate accident leaves SEDONA with an injured arm and she's fired from her part-time job shelving books at the university library she has to find a new gig fast.

The only job available mid-semester is working as a tutor for the athletic academic center. And the notorious bad boy of the university's basketball team, JESSE WALKER, is the one and only guy on the new tutor's roster.

But when SEDONA discovers a secret that could ruin the school's winning basketball team doing the right thing could mean destroying the only guy she's ever loved.

Review-

Neuroscience major Sedona Miller finds herself suddenly with no job and  in the middle of the college semester due to an accident.   School and work consume her life and when the accident causes her to lose her job at the campus library, Sedona starts tutoring students for the Athletic department. Sedona will do whatever she has to in order to make sure she could pay her rent and keep her college plans on track.  She doesn’t know what she is in for when she agrees to tutor member of the basketball team, Jesse Walker.
Jesse is a superstar at the college and is used to getting his was on just about anything due to his talent on the basketball court. He finally meets his match when his new History of Jazz professor actually expects him to attend class and participate.  Jesse being the superstar he is is willing to find any means possible to NOT attend as practice and keeping his basketball career on track is his only thought.

Interference for me, was definitely a thought provoking book in that it speaks directly to the problems in our school system idolizing star athletes.  However Jesse is hiding some demons of his own.  Can Sedona and her nerdy quirky self help Jesse through his issues and can she also show him the importance of future not centered around basketball.   For Jesse there is something about Sedona that he needs in his life.  What would his friends say?  His fans?  Coaches?  Sedona gets  pushed into a world she does not know how to handle.
Interference is a story that will open your eyes although its fiction some of it is true to form.  It will tug at your heart in Sedona’s battles and you will feel for Jesse.
Well written and well done.
