My review of One Percenter (Noir et Bleu Motorcycle Club #1) by D.R. Graham

4 stars

Synopsis

A new adult novel from Entangled's Embrace imprint...
99% of bikers obey the law. The other 1% make their own...
Eighteen-year-old Tienne Desrochers grew up in the rough world of the Noir et Bleu. Bikers. Outlaws. But after her dad's murder, Tienne decides she's had enough. She refuses to end up like her junkie mom. So she grabs her younger brother and leaves it all behind...including her boyfriend, Aiden Gyllenhall.
More comfortable in the middle of a bar fight than at a country club, living with her wealthy aunt and uncle is an adjustment, to say the least. No swearing. Designer shoes that pinch. And pretty, preppy boys like Leland Crofton instead of super-sexy, tattooed Aiden. But even the upper class can't escape the rancid touch of underworld violence. And this time, Tienne won't just learn who she really is—she'll learn how to fight for what's hers.

My Review -

The story of Tienne and Aiden....... a story of true love..... loss...... betrayal.... and trying to find your Happily Ever After in the life of a Club. It is definitely a coming of age story.  Finding yourself through second chances at life and love .

Growing up the best of friends.  Having each others back.  Being there for one another always.  Falling in love.  Then.......

Tienne feels she is worth more than the life her parents had. She grew up with a father that was in the MC.   She has loved Aiden for as long as she can remember.  But being a part of the MC is not what she wants for herself anymore.   For reasons you will read about - she and her brother move in with her Aunt / Uncle who live on the "right side of town"  who "have money" and Tienne then chooses to act as a spoiled brat.  Turning on everyone and everything she grew up in to live the life of a high class socialite.

But what happens when the person she thinks she loves is the one to betray her?  Just when she thinks she has left the biker lifestyle - her true upbringing and roots shine through.

Aiden - loving Tienne and providing a life she deserves is all he has ever wanted.  So, when she up and leaves him.  He is devastated.   He focuses on what he needs to do in the MC all while secretly having a plan to win her back.

This wasn't full of all the drama and angst and such that you would normally get in an MC read.... but  I did enjoy it.  I enjoyed the not knowing where or what was going to happen with the two characters.   I do look forward to what the author brings next.
