Review of Love Survives by Jennifer Foor

I was given an ARC by the author for an honest review.

Synopsis

This book follows Love's Suicide. It can be read by itself as a stand alone.

Imagine being in love with the same girl since you were ten years old, only to have her fall for your twin instead. This story is rocky.
It will rip you apart and possibly put you back together again.
I know this because it's my story.
The pain and anguish experienced in this is what it was like to hold onto hope that some day we'd find each other again. I won't sugar coat the details of what I went through to have her, nor will I apologize for any actions that led me right back into her life.
Sometimes love isn't enough.
For me, it took some bad experiences, a little fate, and a lot of time.
**Contains some adult situations**

My Review

I will rate this a 4 star.  I think you should most def read book one first if you haven't already.  I LOVED the first book - Loves' Suicide.  Which was Katy's side of the story.  In this we get Brooks side.  His POV and to be honest.  Reading a POV is hard for me.  Not many can pull it off.

It was refreshing to see Brooks side of things and how he struggled throughout the years knowing Katy was not with him.  We see his time spent deployed and away from everyone.  We are taken on somewhat of an emotional journey as we watch him struggle with all that has been handed to him.
We are shown what he went through when he enlisted and eventually deployed overseas.

While reading, I was reminded of the things each of these characters went through in book one.  I didn't cry as much with this one.  Maybe because I knew their stories.  I will say that Jennifer did a great job portraying his point of view and not giving us word for word the same story over.
We are introduced to many things that are not from book one.  Clearly giving us a "his POV" storyline.

Great job!
