Amy's 4 star ARC Review of Day of Reckoning: Nomad Bikers (Devil's Due MC Book 4) by Chelsea Camaron

Time served for a crime he didn't commit only provided many lessons learned. The domino effect of one person's crime going unpunished cuts deeply and leaves a mark that can never be covered.

He's no saint.
Jackson 'Rowdy' Presley did a dime, and he served his time silently. He could have brought down the real criminals, but instead he took the term and paid the price. Never having loyalty before the Devil's Due MC, he finally has the new beginning he desperately needs.

She's not afraid to call herself a sinner.

Peony Michele Forbes lives her life wherever the wind takes her. She walked away from her past to give herself a future with no restrictions. As much as she wants to forget who she is, others don't want to let her disappear so easily.

However, danger follows her everywhere she goes.

Will Jackson see beyond his jaded connection to Michele and find there is more to life than revenge? When backed to the wall, will Michele let herself trust Jackson to be the one to save her?

Love, hate, anger, and passion collide as the time comes, and the devil demands his due.
Each book in the Devil's Due MC is a standalone, second chance romance. Contains adult content, language, and violence not suitable for readers under the age of 18. This is not an exact depiction of life in a motorcycle club, but rather a work of fiction meant to entertain. (Paperback page count is 298 in a 5x8 sizing)

Bottom Line

Ok so stay with me on this one. Rowdy and Michele have a past that is filled with a lot of deception and a definite someone screwed someone over. They were high school sweethearts who thought everything had fallen in to place but then life took a shit turn and everything changed. Torn apart by lies the two are now living lies. Rowdy has done time for a crime he didn't commit and Michele is dead ... or so he thinks.

Rowdy finds that his past isn't buried in the ground. In fact he just found the woman he loved in more trouble than when he went to prison. Running to find her and save her proves he still loves the woman but getting her to trust him and getting to her in time is another ballgame all together. She picked the worst people to manipulate her -- the cartel is not to be messed with and his woman just walked into the snake pit.

This was a very good read. I really loved these two characters with the exception of a few incidences with Michele. She needed to have more of a backbone at times and realize what the heck was going on around her. However she did redeemed herself by growing some balls and getting back in the game. I felt sorry but angry with her that she was so dumb! HA!

Thank you for the ARC and chance to read.
