Holy junking LIES and page turner! Where do I even start here. Holly Hood can I have the next book now please? Yes there is a cliffhanger …. What the junk?!?!?
First this book is written in chunks; meaning your title of a new chapter is what sibling or person you zoomed over to. I loved it! It was so easy to keep everything straight and when you wanted to know more BOOM .. Holly sent you to someone else’s place or mind. BRILLIANT!
We meet Everly, Charley, Quinn and Ethan; all siblings. They appear to be a happy family to outsiders but wow there is some drama. Yet everything was somehow held together by their mother until she was murdered. The story begins with all the kids traveling home to their father Ned to bury their mother. Morbid .. heck yes and I love it. You instantly find out all of our characters issues as Holly lays out their personalities in detail. Again love it .. she gives you the chance to connect with all of them. Everly is a musician, Charley a big time publisher, Quinn is still trying to find herself while working a waitressing job and hoping to land a acting gig, and Ethan, the baby of the family is in college hating every minute of it smoking packs and packs of cigarettes.
Vinnie is Everly’s finance but dang if there isn’t some crazy stuff going on there as well as Jordan and Quinn. Adrian meets Charley in the airport by chance or not and Ethan is running around trying to find out what really happened with this man Sam who supposedly killed his mother. Ned the husband wishes he had paid more attention to his wifes stories about a certain patient who was becoming more aggressive but he is certain the mans name was not Sam. And oh lord .. the laundry room .. bad bad bad. BAD but so good and evil. There are sins flying off these pages you need to be careful because they might land on you. I wont even start with the cray cray lady .. you will find out about her when you read. Not spoiling ... But these people are jacked.
Shocking revelations – oh yes – yes there are – blood and murder – oh yes there is – lies – you know it! I LOVE IT! Mommy dearest has some explaining to do but she is dead. Seriously just wait … you need this book --- and the next. Your cliffhanger … what?!?!? I was fist pumping the air on this one. This was my first read by Holly Hood and I LOVE HER! Yes I do. It’s a love affair. CLICK IT UP!
