This was my first M.J. Fields read and it was a rocker story. Not my favorite genre but gave it a shot. It wasn’t bad but I had a hard time not laughing and trying to get past the band’s name; STD which doesn’t mean what you think but yeah .. I couldn’t lose the thought. Along with the name the band members are pretty raunchy and have a lot to spout off about. They aren’t completely famous but also have no problem hoarding women around like cattle which again .. yeah the name. LOL! … This is a series that I believe will feature its member with his own personal book. Our first book is about Memphis and Tallia.
Memphis is a dude whore. Holy wow … and his love interest turns out is the daughter of a preacher. Tallia is Memphis' baby sister, Madison’s best friend. They all grew up together, living right next door but unknown to Memphis, Tallia only had eyes for the bad boy. So … when Tallia makes plans to spend a few weeks on vacation with her Madison, she doesn't know she will be staying with the band. And it begins …
The band, Steel Total Destruction ( STD) is on the clip of a huge break. Backing up to the flocks of woman, Tallia knows she will be forced to watch Memphis play nasty games. Not thrilled at the thought she realizes she needs to face her problems and figures things out.
Not a bad read and it appears that if a rocker story is what you like then this is a good choice for you. I prefer a little more hard hitting suspense and drama plus the guys were hard for me to take. I don’t care for a true jackass and oh lord .. they take the cake. Cocky rockers .. ladies if that’s your love this one is for you!
