Suspicion at Sea 3.5 stars Amie Nichols FBI Agent Ellie Marks heads out on vacation to Bailey Island after a horrific investigation and undercover mission. She needs some time to forget and heal after being shot. Her parents were also brutally murdered along with her mother being raped repeatedly and tortured. If she can reset her mind she might have a chance of making it back to the force. Justin Bennett is an ex Navy Seal who happens to run into Ellie on the island after a string of disappearances take place on the island. These kidnappings start a chain reaction of events that bring other players into the game. Cody, Denny and Justin need to find his sister Suzy. She is missing and someone has her. As Justin and Ellie start to ignite a passion for each other the lies and betrayal also run deeper. Ellie believes her parents were murdered in some sick initiation for the Los Diablos Rojos biker gang but the things she believes may not be true. Justin cant believe that Cody allowed Ellie to put herself on the line infiltrating LDR only to find dead ends. Yes LDR was taken down but what did Ellie have to sacrifice. Fausto knows who killed his brother, who took what was his and he wont stop until he pays back what he has suffered. Ellie will complete that payment. He almost has her; he has those she cares about around her but his ultimate prize is his sweet Ellie. There are so many twists and turns in this story. It’s a very in depth read and sometimes you might need to read chapters over or retrace your steps in order to see things clearly. Having said that this is a a good read. Its not my usual cup of tea but I did enjoy the mystery. Ms. Nichols kept me on my toes in thinking I knew who was “in on it” but in the end I was clearly very very wrong. Not bad Ms. Nichols – give this one a try!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review <3
