Amy's 3.5 star ARC review of Bastard - A Stepbrother Romance by Coco Cadence

I’m a f*cking bastard.

I f*ck girls to forget about her.
She’s the girl I’m not supposed to want … my step-sister.
She hates me for what I’ve done.
I ruined her life.

Now I’m a Motocross racer. A winner. A player. A bastard.
But being a bastard comes with bad press.
Lucky for me Emily is a PR agent.

When she comes to work for me, I’ll make her remember why she once wanted me too.
She can’t say no … she needs me to keep her job, and I need her to f*ck me.

One way or another, she will be mine again.

3.5 stars

This is another step sibling story about “forbidden love.” Emily and Chris were brought together by the harsh realities of high school. Chris is the jock and Emily is the nerd. Their families in turmoil unknown to them their parents end up together AFTER Emily and Chris have already found an attraction. Unknowing that their parents were involved with each other Chris and Emily’s lives are shattered.
Growing up and no longer together Emily is forced to be her step brothers PR person. Old habits die hard for these two. There are a lot of ups and downs in this book. Leo appears with Sam (a previous series that is complete by the same author) and Adrian; both Chris’s brothers, their parents … who will find out? Who will forbid them to be together?

This book was not bad but I'm not a huge fan of this genre. Others who are though have given it a thumbs up so who am I to tell you not to click it up. Give the book a looksie and form your own review! For me though the back and forth with Emily and Chris was just not my cup of tea. I like a stronger more determined female lead and the story didn’t have a lot of depth to it which I also like. BUT if you love some “forbidden romance” then click it on up friends!

I received an ARC for an honest review.
