Amy's 4 star ARC Review of The Fall Up by Aly Martinez

I wanted to jump.
He made me fall.

As a celebrity, I lived in the public eye, but somewhere along the way, I’d lost myself in the spotlight.

Until he found me.

Sam Rivers was a gorgeous, tattooed stranger who saved my life with nothing more than a simple conversation.

But we were both standing on that bridge for a reason the night we met. The secrets of our pasts brought us together—and then tore us apart.

Could we find a reason to hold on as life constantly pulled us down?

Or maybe there’s only one direction to go when two people fall in love at rock bottom—up.

4 stars

The Fall Up is a very heart scorching love story between Levee and Sam. Meeting in a very not normal way, on a bridge looking for an end, they discover that maybe they might have a chance yet and maybe things aren’t so bad. Can someone just as tormented as you become your escape?

Levee’s life is crazy to say the least. She is tired of being a star. She doesn’t even know what normal is anymore. You would think Levee has it all with the fame and what accompanies being talented and a pop princess but she wants normal and maybe Sam is just that. He doesn’t know who she is. This man speaking to her is different; he is actually listening.

Sam is chasing redemption but tonight he needs to talk this woman away from what she is about to do. Not expecting anything that the shoulder they vow to lean on with each other quickly they find that their chance meeting was more than “chance.” Sam is one of a kind. The way he speaks to Levee almost as if he isn’t allowing her to feel anything other than what is in his heart is incredible.

Both of these characters are very well written. They each have qualities that are endearing and make them fall into your heart. It’s a beautiful story of finding something in another that makes you change your perception. The secondary characters are great and of course as any reader does after the close of a good book we hope that we will get more.

Grab this one up friends. It’s a keeper. Oh and Aly, if we can get some Henry in our life at some point .. we would be very happy campers! I received an ARC for an honest review. Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you Aly!
