My Review -
hmmmmm......I am giving this a 3 star rating. It was short, quick read.
I was left with mixed feelings. I wanted to love Ryder. A loner, of sorts. Making his way to a big city so he can fade into the darkness and live his life and not be questioned every minute of the day about why he's so to himself etc. But, life has different plans. He breaks down in a small town and thus begins this fast paced - "romance" of sorts.
We have Ryann - who at first gives off this Takes no shit from anyone - spitfire. But, after an incident things change.... a complete 180. Ryann all of a sudden feels the need to take care of Ryder - a complete stranger to her! After the night before she was giving him the go f*ck yourself vibes.
I felt like the story was rushed. We didn't really get any character development. It's left with a cliffhanger. I think the story has potential to be more in book two. This "novella" just ran a little short for me. I am curious to see just what becomes of his past and the reasons he is running. I liked it well enough to continue the series, but I didn't 4-5 star LOVE this short novella.
