My review of Ride Me Hard (Devil's Host MC, #1) by Shari Slade

Synopsis -

When a big scary biker shows up at Jimmy's Diner fifteen minutes before the end of my shift--covered in tattoos and looking at me like I'm on the menu--I should flip the open sign to closed.

But I don't.

I'm too used to doing what I've been told. Too used to working and struggling and surviving to do anything different. A closed sign wouldn't stop him anyway. He's here to collect a debt. And I'm the only one left to pay.

RIDE ME HARD is just the beginning. The wildly erotic journey continues June 1st with BREAK ME IN. These are short, hot reads, sure to leave you panting for more.

My Review -

What did I just read?  This was a very FAST - SHORT read.  That left me saying..... huh?

It's very different.  We are basically THROWN - fast pitch style - into the story and the characters.  Not really knowing anything about them.  It's definitely going to be a dark serial series.  From what I read in this one.   You are most definitely sucked into the story even at the fast paced, wth just happened - leaving you a bit confused beginning.

The way Star just basically gives herself over to Noah the night they meet and how she agrees to give everything up and go away with him.... yeah... okay......  but then you have Noah who says over and over that she's "Mine" and yet everything leads you to believe that what is to come in the next books is not going to be everything Star thought she was walking into.  I can't say whether I like these characters  or not.  Because we aren't given really any character development.  We are just introduced to them and BAM!  A night of hot sex - unanswered questions leaving you wondering what the hell just happened and where is this serial going.

Although I can only 3 star this one.... it does leave me wanting more!  I was intrigued enough to wait patiently for the second installment so that maybe some of the unanswered questions will fulfill my needs and make me fall in LOVE with this serial series.
