Amy's 5 star Review of The Stocking Was Hung by Tara Sivec

What happens when your life goes to crap the week of Christmas? You invite a hot Marine you met in an airport bar to come home with you for the holidays, to distract your crazy family from the truth.

With a handsy aunt, a meddling mother and a father concerned for the wellbeing of his daughter's eggnog, there's no chance Sam and Noel will have time to fall in love...or will they?

**The Stocking Was Hung is a full-length, standalone Christmas novel that will make you laugh, make you HOT and maybe even make you say, "Awwwww" a few times.

5 “pot” hanging mistletoe berried plants

Noel Holiday is heading home to her overbearing crazy holidayed out family. She is jobless, homeless and boyfriendless after a year of dating Logan and knows her mother is going to have a nervous breakdown over once again failing at “life.”

Sam Stocking is heading home from the longest deployment of his life and finds himself looking like he wet his pants after the woman yelling on the phone at the bar slings her beer over her shoulder in the direct line of his crotch. Walking off, feeling like an ass he returns to find that the woman he dismissed is stunning and has the same feelings about the holidays as he does.

Sam and Noel find themselves on the same plane home and in desperation Noel asks Sam to accompany her to her home having not told her mother she bolted as fast as she could away from Logan; the boyfriend of a year. Sam agrees to play “Logan” for the few days. Its better than heading home alone … right??!?!

OMG … I have never laughed so hard in my life .. I mean I even snorted numerous times. Not spoiling anything for you .. Dad is obsessed with winning the neighborhood Christmas Light Trophy and banning Logan (aka Sam) from having any milk or dairy products, a crotch grabbing Ancle, yes Ancle, named Bobbie, a sneering brother named Nicolas, pot used as mistletoe because its green, festive and you can still kiss under it, squirrels and polar bears running around in sweaters, and aka Noel being called Leon.

This is a MUST read for the holiday season. The love story between Noel and Sam is sweet but the greatest thing between these pages are the characters that you are gifted. I have never in my life wanted to be in the thick of events jingling and jangling as you flip each page.

Tara you are a genius! I cannot wait to click up some additional books by this wonderful author. I hear there is a Chocolate Lovers Series that is a must read so I will be heading that way as soon as I post this. Thank you Tara for reminding us the crazier the family members the bigger our heart grows from that unconditional love.

Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
