Amy's 4.5 - 5 star Review of Borden by R.J. Lewis

Synopsis

******* WARNING: This is NOT a love triangle. This book contains sexual situations - of a very rough nature - violence, and strong language that may be offensive to some.*******

Marcus Borden has always been used to power and control. After a crime-filled upbringing in a very harsh neighbourhood, Borden leaves his hometown, returning four years later mysteriously rich and unrecognizable, with one woman on his mind.
A woman he'll never have.
Pained by his devastating loss and filled with rage and guilt, Borden's world turns dark.

As a fiercely independent woman, Emma Warne knows all about hard living. Having kept to herself most of her life, the last thing she expects is to be thrust into the world of infamous criminal Marcus Borden, the dangerous man the entire city fears and loathes. But the more she pushes him away, the more he comes back, taking over her life and stripping her of her control she desperately clings to.

Once Borden has his sights on her, Emma is going nowhere anytime soon, and what she doesn't expect least of all... is that she may not want to either.

Book 1 of 2.

4.5 or 5 stars – Let me explain. Im giving Borden a 5 plus many more stars for the cover. Have you ever seen anything like this? Spend the “click” to just make that image your wallpaper ladies.
The story; I'm giving 4.5 stars. The book is sectioned into parts which you will understand once you click and start reading.
Part One: The story begins fast and hard with a very brutal first few chapters. Kate. Borden. Rich girl, bad boy.
Part Two: Borden has returned. Things are much different. Borden is no longer the poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks. He is much more. No one questions him. No one goes against him. His right hand man Hawk is very intriguing as well. I have some theories on him but will keep those to myself as I don’t do spoilers. Hawk was, apparently a member of an MC at one time. The storyline is vague for a reason I'm sure. Im certain we will find out much more as the story continues to unfold.
There is someone who seems to be able to disappear into thin air … just like smoke playing with Borden. They warned him the first time and they are warning him again.
I know I am being very elusive here but I cant say much. A character named Emma plays a major role in Part Two. The cliffhanger is drop the kindle “oh my gosh no … “
Click it up friends – I believe its 99 cents right now and FREE if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. I wish I could tell you more but I wont and and I cant. There is so many things we don’t know at this point. I feel like this was the introduction to the oncoming of hell for us and Marcus Borden.
Excellent read .. even better cover. Cant wait to “see” Book 2. – Please give me more of that; the same as our first. I have never loved a sweater more.
