Amy's 4 star review of Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Synopsis

***LIMITED TIME RELEASE PRICE OF $3.99 (Reg. $4.99)***

From New York Times Bestsellers, Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new standalonenovel.

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.

A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.

When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.

My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

I wanted him, but Chance wouldn't make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.

I wasn't supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we'd be going our separate ways.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

Author's note - Cocky Bastard is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18

Aubrey is traveling to CA alone. She packed up her entire life leaving behind Harry and her job. She was hoping to climb the ladder to success but things just didn’t work out. Aubrey wants to move on and hopefully not look back. Needing a short break she pulls into a convenience stop and is looking at bobble heads when a husky voice startles her making her drop the item. With her sassy mouth and annoyance and now having to pay for the item she whirls around to find a drop dead gorgeous man invading her space. Aubrey continues to be a witch to the hunk of burning love deterring any hope of the flirting that is actually going through her mind. Regretting the stranger leaving her with her mouth gaping open at his brash response she wishes her reactions would have been different.

Chance never expected to encounter such a uptight “princess” when he approached the girl in the shop. Instead of a friendly conversation he engaged the most rude and obnoxious woman he has ever spoken to or at least that what he wants to think. The moment Chance sees her he is bombarded by her natural beauty. After paying for the broken bobble head he moves to climb on his bike. Throwing it into gear Chance quickly realized there is something wrong. Glancing over he sees the Aubrey laughing through her car window. He knocks on her window to ask her if she something seems or appears to be funny to her. After Aubrey responds that he deserves everything he is getting after speaking to her the way he did Chance reminds Aubrey that karma is the real bitch because her tire is flat. Being in a seedy part of town he offers Aubrey up a deal. He will fix her tire to hitch a ride with her or he can walk away and let the Herman Monster look alike take a whirl at helping her. Aubrey takes the deal with Chance knowing that she needs to steer clear of this fine ass man.

Along the road trip you encounter a lot of hilarious banter between Aubrey and Chance. Aubrey is smitten with the Aussie and finds out there is more than meets the eye. We also find ourselves falling in love with a goat that has issues (LOL .. its absolutely one of the best parts trust me, Elvis, and a stop at the Grand Canyon all the while loving the change we see in uptight Aubrey.

This is classic Vi Keeland and a great easy read. Give this one a click. I know you will enjoy it. It is a standalone; no cliffhanger!
