Amy's 5 star ARC review of Crash (The Beat and The Pulse Book 3) by Amity Cross

Synopsis

Violet Fuller has been through a lot in her short life.
After being viciously attacked, she’s hidden herself away from the world for the past five years, fearing everyone and everything. That’s until the day she finally gathers the courage to go outside.
Violet decides to take a job at her brother Ash’s new gym, Pulse, to reacquaint herself with the male dominated world of MMA. She used to be her brother’s biggest supporter, going to all his matches and cheering him on. There’s no one he trusts more to help him run the admin side of his new business, but when Violet walks through the door for the first time, she sees someone she wasn’t expecting.
Handsome, AUFC fighter, Lincoln Hayes.
The same Lincoln Hayes that she’s had a crush on since she was sixteen.
All muscled, disciplined, hot as hell, six-foot two of him. He’s definitely not a boy anymore.
Things are about to become more difficult than Violet had hoped. So much for easing back into reality.
And Lincoln? He’s only got one thing on his mind.
How do you win over a woman who is afraid of everything?
Simple.
You fight

5 moving and emotional brilliant stars

Ok – I LOVE this woman. Her series are absolutely brilliant. I have no idea what swims around in that head of hers but its fantastic.
Crash is the story I have been waiting for. Well to be honest Im waiting for all the guys to get their story but this one was a very important addition that we as fans needs to know. I mean needed to know. This is Lincoln and Violets story.

Violet Fuller, twenty four years old, has been basically in recluse after her tragic ordeal. I don’t really want to say what because it could be a spoiler. You technically don’t have to read the prior books but you should. I say that was all series because it simply gives you a deeper connection to the characters. Amity gives you insight as to who the characters are and where they stand in this group of friends and family. There is enough detail to understand who is who. I also love the reference to a book that I absolutely devoured. Violet is an avid reader and was engrossed in the book Beautiful Bastard in one of the chapters. Love that! Love that book!

Violet has been encouraged to get out. Take some baby steps. Ash, her brother, has just opened up Pulse and offers Violet a job doing the books and managing the office. Ren is still helping her dad out at Beat and doing what she can but Pulse is up and running and running well. It seems like the perfect place for Violet to get her feet wet without getting too far out of her comfort zone. Ash will be there and the office is upstairs from the gym floor. Violet believes she can do this until she finds out the one and only man she has ever felt anything for is going to be there. Lincoln Hayes.

Lincoln is on leave from the fighting circuit doing rehab on his shoulder. At the encouragement of his twin brother Dean who is still in Sydney with Coach he heads to Pulse to see if Ash will give him a job. Something to do while he’s held up. His relationship with Ash was also better with him than his brother Dean so maybe there was a chance. And maybe while there he might just get to see Violet; the girl who seemed out of reach at 16 when she used to come and watch the Ash fight. All these years later she is still as beautiful as ever but her past is something he doesn’t know how to break through.
Violet’s journey is an incredible one. Lincoln is there and he is a really gentle soul even though his demeanor is that of a MMA fighter. Lincoln’s character blew me away. I don’t want to elaborate too much because then you will know what Violet was going through and too much of being too close to giving away spoilers. Let me tell you though this is one amazing release. Violet and Lincoln will move you, they will consume you and they will make you squirm in your seat. I just cannot get over Lincoln. I never ever thought this man could be written into the character he was and is. Just absolutely phenomenal.

I love Amity because you feel as if you belong in this circle of friends and family. You are rooting for all of them to get exactly what they want. I also love the person Violet becomes; a strong woman. A woman who you see transform into a force who knows what she wants and what she derserves. Fan Freaking Tastic!

I love all Amity's books. You cant go wrong with any of them.

I received Crash as an ARC in return for an honest review. Thank you Amity! -- Release date is September 22nd.
