Amy's 4 star ARC Review of The Killer In You (Love in Midlife Series Book 3) by Dakota Madison

Falling in love with your boss's wife is never a good idea, especially when you're a mobster.

Mia Corrado can't remember the last time she had sex with her husband, Nicky. He's been preoccupied with his job as the head of New Jersey's most powerful crime family, and all of the wild oats he sows on the side.

When Nicky tells Mia he's too busy to attend her college reunion, and wants to send one of his underlings to accompany her, Mia is completely fed up.

Until she discovers it is Luka Russo who will be escorting her. He's handsome, charming and sensitive, definitely not the typical mobster.

Mia is completely captivated by him.

And Luka is just as smitten with Mia.

But if they act on their feelings for each other Luka may end up sleeping with the fishes.

Mia Corrado is lonely – Her husband Nicky is the head of the most powerful crime family in New Jersey. His job takes him away at all hours including the mistresses hidden on the side. For twenty five years Mia has watched her husband with numerous women … the same twenty five years they have been married. Torturing herself following him to watch her husband walk out of the latest side piece is something she is used to. Hoping after their youngest son left for college they would become closer Mia is wanting to spend time together Mia wants her husband to go with her to her reunion. Instead her husband claims he is too busy but insists on sending one of his goons to watch her. The only thing she doesn’t count on is her husband sending Luka with her. Luka’s job is to make sure no man touches her but he might just be the man that breaks that rule – a rule that could get them both killed.
I really liked this book! I have not read anything from Dakota before and I actually wish I had. The storyline was good the characters were written very well and the fact that the events kept me guessing is always a wonderful thing .. that keeps me turning the pages.
From what I understand this is a series but each book can be read as a standalone. I am going to go back and click up the others I have missed. Coming next is Harlow and Marc’s story called Back to Bookman.
Thank you for the ARC Dakota! If you love crime family … suspense and smexy time then this book is for you! Pick it up and try it out. I bet you will love it! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
