Amy's 4 star ARC Review of Tempting Justice (Sons of Sydney) By Fiona Archer

PUBLISH DATE: 18th April 2017.

He’s sworn to uphold the law

His reckless behavior as a child caused the deaths of his entire family. On the lonely Sydney streets, the orphan found friends. Found “brothers.” Never again will Seattle Homicide Detective Heath Justice break the rules and risk his new family. Order and discipline govern his life…until he meets a curvaceous redhead. With two ugly murder cases to solve, the last thing he needs is this disconcertingly lovely, whirlwind of chaos, yet…charmed by her wit and intelligence, Heath can’t resist.

She believes rules are meant to be broken

Deep into writing a murder mystery, author London Shaw is shocked when she herself is implicated in a homicide. She can’t believe the ever-so-authoritarian Detective Heath Justice expects her to simply ignore the crime and go on about her business. Not happening. Although the man’s whiskey rough voice, cuffs, and masterful touch could melt any woman’s resistance—and does—she has a craving to do a little investigating herself.

When all or nothing is your only play

When Heath’s murder investigation threatens a far-reaching conspiracy, everyone he cares for becomes their target—including the woman he’s come to love.

Heath is our guy in this release. Heading to Derek's house for breakfast (his partner) -- Heath's world is flipped upside down when he catches someone breaking into another section of the house while visiting. Cuffing the intruder and dragging her to the front Heath is surprised to have just met Derek's little sister London.
From here the story takes a nice little twist. London is a YA writer taking on a new genre. Her family is supporting her for the leap but she has to do research in order to make her murder mystery have the flair she desires. However things start to get a little heated up and London finds herself in a situation that she can't deny.
There is major suspense and who done it in this book. However it won't be who you think which is a must for a reader. Keeping track of who was who was bit confusing for me at first through all the banter and discussion but I eventually settled in and got deep into the story line.
I'm just as curious as you to see what events take place for our next brother and where Heath is when we revisit him. Thank you for the ARC and thank you for the chance to read a great story. The characters are well written and I loved that fact that London had nervous talking habits. Those were hilarious and put some light into the story just when needed. Great work and beautiful cover!
