Move the Sun (The Signal Bend Series #1) by Susan Fanetti

Lilli Accardo moves to the dying town of Signal Bend, Missouri, where the citizens have made a devil’s bargain to stay afloat. Lilli quickly garners the attention of the whole town, particularly Isaac Lunden, President of the Night Horde Motorcycle Club and de facto protector of the town and its citizens. When it turns out that Lilli is there under murky circumstances, Isaac decides to get close and try to figure out what she’s hiding. Their chemistry is instantaneous and electric, but each is a potential danger to the other. Action, sex, and drama ensue as Isaac and Lilli try to navigate the rocky terrain between trust and threat. Note: Explicit sex and violence.

I went into this book thinking it was going to be the Raw, Gritty, Leave me breathless MC book shit that I LOVE.  I was wrong and yet.... I loved it!   Yes, this was a MC book.  But, so different than what I was expecting and yet I wasn't disappointed that I didn't have all the hard core - gritty shit.

Maybe it was because this story was about more than just the MC.  Yes, we have the bad ass ALPHA biker Prez Isaac. BUT....he isn't the over the top asshole Biker Prez.  We don't see him using club whores or talking down to women.  He's bad ass and yet romantic.  He actually reads...  ;)  When he sees Lilli pull into town he immediately finds himself intrigued.

What made this different than any other MC book is we have a story being told by Lilli who is a force to be reckoned with. FINALLY a heroine who isn't whiny and spoiled and just as BAD ASS as her biker.  She isn't clingy or insecure.  She kicks ass first, then asks questions.  She has some "top secret undercover shit" going on.  That immediately pulled me in.  Making my brain work overtime trying to figure out.

The story is dual POV with her side often going back in time.  Gives you insight on where she came from and why she is on this "mission".   When we do find out her reasons for moving to Signal Bend - you start to question other things and start to worry that her and the MC crossing paths will not be a good thing.

Issac falls hard...Lilli lets her guard down (something she never does) falling just as hard.  Both with concerns and secrets.  Both needing to learn to trust one another.

And of course we have off the chart sex between the two of them.  I mean, hey!  It is a book with an Alpha male.....one that can sweet talk the panties off you.

The little drama that does show up as far as "women" in Issacs life....let's just say Lilli can handle her own.  I do, however, feel that we haven't seen the last of Issacs "Lucinda".......and hey.... Lilli may be a bad ass, but her little jealous side is kinda HOT.

We are taken on a journey of love between the two of them.  We are thrown into the shit that Issac and his club are dealing with as well as the reasons bringing Lilli to town.   When those two paths cross...can their love survive?  There is a shit storm coming in book two though.... I can feel it.

It was a great first book in a series..... the author did a terrific job at setting up the characters and the plot and grabbing your interest.

Again, this book did not have all the drama and anxiety and hardcore raunchy biker shit that I love.  But what it did have in this first book was enough to grab me and hold my attention and had me immediately downloading book two.
