Synopsis:

This book is book one in a three part series, so not all matters are resolved at the end of the novel. It is also meant for ages 18+ due to yummy adult content ;) 

Happily ever after doesn't exist. Not just in the romantic sense, but in the sense that there will never be a point in life that will contain no more obstacles. 

Josie Sommers is a nerdy twenty four year old, elementary school teacher who has always considered herself a strong person. But with the loss of a loved one and the return of someone she vowed to never see again, her strength starts to break. 

When he betrayed her in the ultimate way, she never thought she would let him back into her life, let alone open herself up to falling back in love with him. 
Plagued with resentment and the burden of her own dishonesty, 

Josie has to decide if forgiving and coming clean is worth the risk of losing him again. With so many hurdles, we know that Josie’s story is no fairy tale. 

That’s a promise.

Excerpt: 

“You are gorgeous, as always, Josie.” He turned me around and brought his lips to

mine. He kissed me slowly, and I could feel myself getting heated. He grabbed my hand and

 pulled me towards the bed. I was a little embarrassed when he started undressing us, unable

to believe that I agreed to do something so risqué. He position me in a particular way, and

went back to his cameras to make sure his shot was right and to set up timers on them.

“Okay, don’t think about the cameras,” he said, coming back to me. He started sucking on my neck as his hands roamed my thighs, stomach, and then my chest. I tried to ignore the cameras and focused on his tongue and mouth on me.

Click. He brought one of my breasts into his mouth and sucked on my hard nipple. His tongue always knew how to make my body feel good. Click. I moved my hands into his shaggy sandy blonde hair, and arched my back, needing more of him. Click. Seth aligned his chest with mine, and went back to assault my neck as I moved my hands to rub his shoulders and arms.  Click. His other hand that wasn’t fondling my breast, moved its way in between my legs, and rubbed me. I gasped at the feeling of increased pressure on my clit. Click. His fingers really were magical. It didn’t take me long before both the pressure of his mouth on my neck and breasts and the rubbing of his fingers against me, made me come. Click.

“So sexy,” he whispered, before putting on the condom he had ready on the bed.

His eyes were hooded with desire. He positioned himself in front of me and moved my long 

hair in a way that covered my breasts. Click. He eased inside of me gently, and then pulled 

back out fast. Click. He teased me like that for a while, as I whimpered with need. I decided to

 sit up and grab onto his back, nearly clawing him to finally give me what I needed. I started to raise my hips to his at a better rhythm, loving the small whimper that came out of his mouth. Click.

Author Bio:

Victoria Klahr (pronounced like “Claire”) lives in Elizabeth City, North Carolina with her husband and daughter, Stephen and Alexis. She loves her chug (Pug/Chihuahua), Bandit, and three year old to pieces. She loves to stay home and take care of them, even if they do drive her insane at times. She is a huge and proud book nerd who looks at her bookshelf in admiration daily. She has her Associate’s degree in Business Administration, but her passion has always been the stories that talk to her in her head. What or who inspired you to write your first book?

I had a story brewing in my head for a while, and there was a night that I couldn't sleep. Combining the two, I grabbed my laptop and started writing the story. Josie started talking to me in my head, and I started writing for her. As for inspiration, I would have to give credit to Taryn Fisher and K.A. Linde because I loved that they were not scared to write a love story that wasn’t perfect. I wanted flawed characters in real life situations.

Do you write full time or do you have a day job?

I am a full time stay at home mom and wife, part time college student, and part time writer. I was not able to find a job with my college degree, so I decided to further my education. I get to stay home and watch my three year old grow, and in the spare time, I write.

If you could invite any 5 people to dinner (alive, dead, real or fictional) who would they be?

I am so glad you said 5, because this would have been so freaking hard! Hermione Granger because I’ve always looked to her as a role model when it comes to her smarts. Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead because I want to touch his arms and I would love to learn how to shoot an arrow. Four from Divergent, because… well, it’s Four, there is no need for an explanation! Maybe he could teach me some knife throwing tricks. Tris from Divergent because I want to smack her for what she did in Allegiant. And finally, I’d love to invite my late great grandmother, Mom-mom Talley. She passed away before she could see that I turned out to be a good woman. I would love for her to meet my husband and daughter, and show her how much she influenced me and my life.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

Wow… Jessica Sorensen, I think she has incredible talent. I’m always surprised by what she can come up with! Jennifer L. Armentrout, again, she has great talent. I hate anything with aliens, but she made me fall in love with them! JK Rowling, for bringing me a world that I will never forget. Richelle Mead, she has NEVER disappointed me! Wendy Higgins, I love the Sweet Evil series! I want to say Veronica Roth because Divergent is my favorite book, but I’m still mad at her since she published Allegiant… so she’s iffy.

Are your characters names important? Do they have any meaning for you?

The names of characters was one of the hardest parts of writing. I would say that a lot of the names were very random. Seth is the sexiest male name to me. I think Blake is a sexy name too. Josie is a cute name that I’ve always liked. Everyone else was named randomly. But looking back, I can see some references to people. For example, the couple in my story who told their son not to come near Josie were named Mr. and Ms. William Boom. My dad is an extremely conservative person, and I don’t like his wife. My dad’s name is William and my step-mom’s maiden last name is Boom. So that was a little jab at them. Brandon wasn’t meant to be like my brother, but his looks are very similar to my younger brother, Brandon.

What has been the harshest criticism you have gotten as a writer?

A lot of bloggers told me that they didn’t like the past/present style that my book was written in. I have taken that criticism and fixed it in my next book. The reason it is hard for me, is because I couldn’t help but write it like that. It’s hard to explain without sounding crazy, but Josie’s story NEEDED to be written like that. She told it to me in my head like that, so I knew I had no choice but to write it like that. Trust me, if I could have chosen, I would NOT have written my first book like that. It was very hard!

Other than that, I feel like everyone has been respectful, honest and very very very supportive in this experience! I have never been in a community of people where I felt accepted and understood. But this experience has shown me where I belong. My family has supported this dream the whole time I was writing, so I have been very lucky!
