Amy's 3.5 star ARC Review of Life Interrupted Yessi Smith

I am a blank canvas that even the artist in me doesn’t know how to fill. My life started the day I escaped and woke up in the hospital.

Escaped from reality. Escaped from fear. Escaped from him.

Nothing exists before that, and as the days trickle by, I’m positive there’s nothing after that either.

I try though. For Poppa, who hasn’t left my side since I woke up, I try to live.

But every attempt is futile. So I escape again and start fresh on a small island, where there aren’t any expectations to fulfill. Where family and friends I don’t remember can't look at me with sadness and disappointment.

And when Travis Keillar comes into my life everything changes. The memories I’ve lost become unimportant to the memories I’m creating with him. For the first time since I opened my eyes that fateful day in the hospital, life smiles back at me.

Until it doesn’t.

Until he comes back for me.
For revenge of crimes I don’t remember committing.

Holly is innocent of anything and everything she is being held accountable for. Yet she doesn’t remember who she is, or why she was taken or much less who took her. What she does know is since she escaped her Poppa hasn’t left her side. Derrick has tried to help her remember along with her therapist and the police have no leads. Holly doesn’t want her family or friends pity; she needs to find her way alone.

Travis Keller gives Holly new memories. She cant remember the old but it doesn’t matter. She learns to smile again and even laugh. Until he … finds her again.

This story was a little rough for me in that it started out really fast and intense and then kind of dropped off in my opinion. I was a little taken back with the things that came to light during the course of the book; especially some of the things at the end. It was more of a “huh .. really” for me than a “wow!” I also didn’t end up really understanding the relationship of two of the characters. You all click this one up and let me know what you think after reading. Maybe with some insight from another point of view I can see things differently.

I received an ARC for an honest review. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you Yessi!
