My review of Priest by Sierra Simone

Synopsis
"Hot. As. Sin." -- Lauren Blakely, NYT Bestselling Author of Sweet Sinful Nights
There are many rules a priest can't break. A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.

I've always been good at following rules.

Until she came. Then I learned new rules.

My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.

I am a priest and this is my confession.

***Priest is a full-length standalone with an HEA. For Mature Audiences Only***

4 HOT TABOO stars for the sex

Review->

Holy Hotness Batman!  This book was Dirty - Kinky - Filthy and totally Taboo!  Father Bell had me needing confession after I read this.  The story was different than any I have read and the sex was off the charts Hot!  And even though there were things I struggled with while reading... I enjoyed this book!  For the taboo and hotness alone!

The relationship between Father Tyler Bell and Poppy was forbidden!  And each of them dangled that fruit in front of the other until one took the first bite!

Tyler struggled throughout the book and battled with his desire to act on his attraction and feelings towards Poppy and to keep his focus on his devotion to his community.  I found that there were parts of the story that seemed a little "off" and didn't make sense to me.  HIs language and actions as a Priest and his reasons for becoming a priest to begin with were a little far fetched.  How the church handles his actions.... didn't seem real.  His actions throughout the book didn't have me believing he was nor could be an actual priest.  I just felt that he was a decent man who was struggling with the loss of his sister and trying to find his way in life again.

Poppy was a tad hard to connect with.  She enters the story needing to confess some "sins" and I felt that once she started speaking with Father Bell she teased him and flirted with him knowing she shouldn't.   I didn't think the ex was necessary in the story.  And her "sin" was to me just normal. =)

What started out as an immediate forbidden attraction became a friendship turning into one Hot love affair.   I think if you have an open mind.... love taboo and hot sex.... then this is one to check out.  Even with the parts of the book that I didn't necessarily understand or connect with... it was still one awesome read!
