Amy's 5 star Review of Property of Drex Book 1 AND Property of Drex Book 2 (Death Chasers MC Series) by C. M. Owens

EVE

What’s the most selfless thing you’ve ever done? What price tag would you put on the ability to save the ones you love?

They say the worst decisions are made by the desperate or the fools.

I was desperate enough to make a foolish decision to save my family. The cost? Me.

They may be a motorcycle club, but in all honesty they’re really an elite unit of criminals who just happen to drive motorcycles. They’re a business. An organization. A fully functioning army…

What’ I’ve learned? They work in the gray area; life and death is real; and everyone wants everyone dead. Okay, so maybe that’s dramatic… No. No it’s not. It’s legit.

I prepared for the worst, fully anticipating hating my new life. Turns out, I finally found out where I belonged. Oh, and I discovered I’m a little twisted or crazy. Maybe both.

Drex Caine, the man without a conscience, didn’t ruin me the way I thought he would. Instead, he made me feel like I was living instead of just waiting to live. And I can never go back to the way things used to be.

Please note: Book 1 does end on a cliffhanger, but book 2 has the conclusion and will be released March 28, 2016. After book 2, the rest of the series can be read as stand-alone novels without cliffhangers and will have different main characters featured.

5 stars

Eve is desperate. Her father took his own life leaving his family alone, with no money and nothing to keep them afloat. He was spineless leaving Eve no choice but to go to Benny; the father of her best friend Ben and also the President of the Hell Breathers MC. Knowing asking Benny to help them financially will leave Eve wide open to his demands, she has to save the house for her small twin brothers and save her mother from losing her last shred of hope. Little does Eve know she isn’t staying with the Hell Breathers --- Benny is trading her for a file he desperately needs – he is trading her to Drex, the VP of the Death Chasers. Her best friend Ben is begging her to not go with his father – although he is in the Hell Breathers he isn’t cut out for the life – he knows his Dad will destroy Eve – sending her to Drex wasn’t part of the agreement.

Drex cannot believe his father agreed to a deal with the Hell Breathers in trading of a girl. They don’t deal in the skin trade; not that this is what this is but it doesn’t feel right --- a girl as currency? Something feels off. Herrin, Drex’s father killed Benny’s brother years ago but Benny has always said it was the way of their world. Sledge doesn’t like it either. Sending your own son into the firing line because you are a coward doesn’t seem like something the President of an MC should do. Finding out Eve is the daughter of Aaron Marks, the man who betrayed them is a shock. The MC dug into Mark’s life and never knew he even had a family. How did he keep this from them and why exactly is this girl now offering herself up on her free will.

There are so many “whoah” moments in this series. I read the books back to back and thank the lord both were already out. I found them while stalking Tracy’s blog. You should do the same! There is great stuff there. The secondary characters are fantastic and never did I skim or wish this book wasn’t this long and get to the point. NOPE – I wanted more and more.

Drex’s father is an ass. Herrin is self centered leaving his club open for destruction only caring about his existence. You see the potential split happening as Drex realizes his father doesn’t care about saving him or his brothers. You are going to just go crazy over Axel , there is Colleen, Sarah, Sledge, Dash, Snake, and Drake. I really want to know Axel and Drakes stories so I hope we will get both. I know we get a preview of Axel’s story at the end of book 2. (Axel’s Brand) --- YAY!

There is a major cliffy in the first book so you will want to have book 2 ready to go.

*This is the conclusion of Drex and Eve's story, but there will be other books in the series featuring other couples.*

*Special price is for release week only. Price will be going up.

Book 2 picks directly up from where we left off and Eve is pissed. Eve is with Drake and all hell has broken loose. Why is the man who Drex had put at arm's length for over two years over a girl now have his girl? Who the hell put the ambush out on them and how did they know where they were?

Things have changed in the deal with Eve throughout the first book. There is a surprise from one of the secondary characters in book 2 that you won't believe – I'm telling you the moments here are jaw dropping. Everything you think you have pieced together – just no … you are WRONG!

Click this awesome series up. I am so glad that I let my finger do the talking and said yes – I will take it! Reviewers just don’t read ARC’s friends because if we did we would miss outstanding books just like this! Keep them coming!

Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you Tracy for posting this book! I found it because of YOU!
