Amy's 5 star review of Ride Steady (A Chaos Novel ) by Kristen Ashley
Synopsis
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . .
Review-
5 stars Lets just get to it quickly. Of course this is 5 stars and more. If you are Kristen Ashley fan and especially a fan of Chaos, The Dream Man Series, The Colorado Mountain Series and Rock Chick Series – well guess what. All of those folks are in this book in some form; either mentioned or appearing. Do I really need to review this? I mean come on its Chaos. Short blub goes like this. Carson Steele is getting out. His life is crap thanks to his Dad Jefferson Steele. He beats him, scars him and everything else in between. Carissa Teodoro gave him light but didn’t know it. He has always been in love with her and is grateful she was the last person he saw before heading out and getting out. Leaving would be the biggest mistake of his life. Returning after all these years and finding Chaos would be the best until Carissa. She is still in town and life has not been good to her. I wont write anymore. Its all there; everything in brilliant Kristen Ashley fashion. One of the biggest draws to her stories besides the obvious are the female characters. I LOVE the fact that her women are curvy, strong but gentle, devoted and driven. Of course in some of the story lines those woman have had to crawl their way out of the dark and find their confidence but it was ALWAYS with the love and complete devotion of a great man; a man who would stop at nothing to show her all her worth. The fact that she writes female lead characters who aren’t stick figures with size 0 waist isn’t lost on her fans. Although its fiction it gives women the push needed to get out there and be whatever they want to be knowing they are magnificent. Thank you Ms. Ashley for another spectacular Chaos novel. The even better news …. there is more to come. We get a preview of Walk Through Fire and of course it’s going to be fantastic.
