Amy's Review of Flawed Love: House of Obsidian by Bella Jewel

Copy provided for an honest review

Synopsis

**FLAWED LOVE is a standalone second chance romance with a HEA**

Rainer Torrence is everything I could have wanted in my life and more.

He became my best friend when I was Thirteen years old.

From then on, we were inseparable. He was my first love and my first heartbreak.

But I always thought it was forever.

Until his Father died and things went bad.

Then suddenly, he disappeared.

Ten years and I didn’t see or hear from him.

Then came the call I’d be praying for– he was back in town.

Only the man I remembered is not him.

This man is quiet, deadly, and so incredibly beautiful.

He also doesn’t remember me.

He looks into my eyes, and he sees nothing.

Nothing.

So, I let him believe I’m just a girl that walked into his bar.

I let him believe I’m just a friend.

I let him use me on the cold, dark nights.

I let him believe that I am as emotionless about our relationship as he is.

I just let the secret go on and on.

But all secrets have an end, don’t they?

Review--->

Flawed Love: House Of Obsidian Bella Jewel 3.5 stars I was so anticipating Rainer’s story. It was good but not my favorite. I wanted more of Rainer’s troubled past meaning AFTER he left Mali. We get some but not as much as I wanted. It seemed as if the back story was rushed and as much as we were led to believe it made him who he was and is; the small snippets throughout the book didn’t do it justice. I loved the back story on Mali and Rainer. Im not saying what it is but you will love it. I also had to flashback to the Joker’s Wrath series and brush up on the deep friendship of Pippa and Rainer. I remembered what happened but not in complete detail. I would recommend you pick that one up and maybe it will make you understand more why Pippa and Rainer are the way they are. Having said that Pippa ticked me off big time. She is with Tyke and we end up seeing in this book; holding on to Rainer too tight. She has a surprise in the end which helped me forgive her but still. GRRRR … She gets jealous of Mali and Rainer goes after her repeatedly. UH NO! She chose her path. The back and forth was somewhat taxing but what kept me reading was the back story of Rainer and Mali. I loved seeing him with some happiness. This book can be read as a standalone but if I were you I would pick up the first in this series for lack of a better word. Its excellent. Flawed Heart is definitely worth your hard earned pennies. Im glad I read this book; don’t get me wrong. I just wanted more. But don’t we all??!?!
