Amy's 5 star ARC Review of Scarred Asphalt (Asphalt Outlaw Series Book 2) by Blue Remy

Amazon Bestseller in Romantic Erotica and Women's Action & Adventure

Beauty and the beast…roles reversed.

Too handsome for his own good, Apollo falls for a scarred beauty—she doesn’t want him or the MC.
Will he be her saving grace?
Can the beast inside her be tamed before it’s too late?

Seven months after the death of SixGun Outlaw member Alan "Stone" James, the motorcycle club is trying to rebuild their lives and learn how to go on without their president, friend, and family member. But moving on isn't as easy for Espina "Thorne" Lopez after having lost her sister. Content to spend her days alone, beating up a punching bag and wallowing in her grief, no one has seen Thorne since. Until she's called in for a favor involving her partner's brother.

Dalton "Apollo" Kilpatrick is arrested for something he didn't do, but no one believes him. So the judge puts him on a three month house arrest in the home of the last person who wants him. Will they get along, or will she be a Thorne in his side? Apollo is a handsome man that women can't deny—some would go as far as to call him beautiful. Thorne considers herself a monster—a beast for not being able to stop what happened to her sister.

So ... why not put the beauty with the beast and see what happens?
Can Dalton repair the crack in her heart before the last petal falls?

Scarred Asphalt (Asphalt Outlaw Book 2)
Blue Remy
5 stars

Let me start with saying I turned to page one of this book and read through about page 4 before I messaged Tracy and asked her to kindly email Blue Remy and let her know my review would come but NO WAY was I reviewing this book without reading the first release in the series “Twisted Asphalt” because it was THAT FANTASTIC. By page 4 I was done for .. hooked … and holding on for dear life.

Scarred Asphalt is a brilliant title number one and is a magnificent connection to what happens in the first release. The cover .. beautiful once you know the story that lies between the pages. Scarred takes right in to where we were left in Twisted Asphalt and thank goodness I didn’t know about this series prior to the second release in the series. I would have been face planted on the ground with no return for days where I was left. Im not saying its any better at the end of this book but I can hang on for a bit .. maybe … HA!

The club is still healing from the death of Stone. Rebuilding the loss of the best man they all knew as well as Maggie has left scars on everyone’s heart. Thorne isn’t dealing well and still doesn’t know the truth behind her sister’s death as the club has kept what really happened from her. Espina Thorne Lopez lost herself the night of the accident. Never did she think she would also lose her sister so unexpectedly.

Romeo needs a favor and he knows exactly who to call in .. Thorne. Dalton Apollo Kilpatrick has been arrested on bogus charges and is put on house arrest. In order to keep him close to the club, allow him to work and stay within his house arrest conditions Thorne’s house is the perfect location. Unknowingly thrown together, this becomes one heck of a whirlwind. Apollo only sees a beautiful woman who can't seem to see that her scars don’t own her or at least shouldn’t. I love the way Apollo tells Thorne how it is and doesn’t pull any punches in throwing the truth at her. Thorne’s attitude doesn’t scare him. I also love Throne’s strong side when she isn’t wallowing in her pity party.

Along with Apollo and Thorne’s story we get to see where Amy is and there is a wing-dinger of an eye opener with Romeo as well. I am head over heals for Wolf and cant wait to find out more about he and Hawkeye. Bring on round three Blue! Im making the story up in my head of who took that certain phone call just to hold me over …. LOVE this series!

Thank you for the ARC and the extra time to go back and read the first release! This is a keeper … can't wait to dig in deeper and meet all the guys.

Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
