This is book two in the Black Brothers Series. I have not read the first book which left me a little off when turning through the pages here. You all know I love to read everything in a series even if they are considered stand alones. So please take that into consideration – you all know Im wired crazy like that. Book one centered around Archer Black and he is of course mentioned in this release so I couldn’t get my mind off of who he was.

This is Knox’s story.

Knox is the head of a private military investigations company who specializes in intelligence. He gathers info for whomever will pay him diving into the darkest depths of political indignity and corruption. His next job – find out who is behind swaying votes in Congress and why. Swaying is the nice way of putting what is happening … In and out is Knox’s motto for everything .. even down to his women. But facing off with Trinity Jones was NOT in the plan.

Trinity Jones new he would be there .. Knox Black. Easy steal .. he gets the info she takes it from him. She was trained by one of the best – right or wrong side of the law. Trust .. she doesn’t give it nor does she need it. She trust no one but herself but Knox Black is getting under her skin. She can't let that happen. Using him might prove to be the wrong thing.

This story is pretty good but I just couldn’t get into the characters. I didn’t find myself consumed by the story. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t make me want to lose sleep and continue turning the pages. Having said that, if you are a Black Brothers fan you will love this release. Knox has plenty of alpha male to go around for a couple hundred women. Don’t shoot me but it just wasn’t for me .. it doesn’t mean it won't be for you so click it up and give it a whirl. I can honestly say it probably was the lack of intense situations as I like a lot more action packed drama in my reads. A little too slow …

Thank you for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
