Amy's 4 star review of Tiger Lily Part 1 by Amélie S. Duncan

Tiger Lily Part 1 by Amelie S. Duncan

Synopsis
Part One of a Three Part Contemporary Erotic Romance Series

What started as an assignment became more than Lily could ever have hoped for

Lily Salomé has encountered more challenges than the average twenty-four year old. After a horrendous crash killed her parents, an abusive relationship was all she needed to turn her broken heart to stone. So when Lily's boss comes to her with a challenge most girls would balk at, she knows there isn't much left in this world to be afraid of.

The target: Jonas Crane, a brooding business mogul who hasn't smiled once since his very public divorce. Dark, dangerous and mouthwatering, Crane has written a book about life in the fast lane and with the recent publicity, Lily's boss wants the rights. Problem is, Crane won't return a phone call, let alone agree to a meeting. But if a pretty publishing assistant happens to run into him at the Waldorf, with a business card and a smile...what could go wrong?

A lot, it seems. Lily thinks she's going to meet a rich jerk, or worse, a playboy, but the truth is way more disturbing. Jonas Crane is smart, engaging...and devastatingly out of her league.

Review
Tiger Lily as you read seems to be the typical younger woman older man romance. However as you dive into this three part series you will find yourself consumed by our two lead characters. Im telling you as odd as it may sound I was more interested in watching Lily and Jonas dive into each other lives and hike their the mess of their lives than I was in the sex. Crazy right?!?!?! Once you meet these two and the darkness that follows them you will be hooked as well. Dani, Declan and Ian can play mind games with the best of them; some for protection of another and some for sheer gratification of seeing someone hurt. And then there is Natasha … I really don’t know what to think of her.
Lily is desperately clawing her way out of an abusive and dark relationship. Everytime she believes she is free the hand wraps around her and pulls her back under. She doesn't see how beautiful she is to other people.
Jonas Crane – he cant be interested in her. She is nothing. He seems to like her but for what and how much. Her heart cannot take another hit. Declan still holds power over her. Jonas only wants her for what seems an arranged companionship on his terms. Or is it more? Jonas has his own demons and is confused about what he wants or thinks he wants.
There is a lot of emotional baggage in this series that will make you want to reach out and save Lily. Fight for her and as well fight for Jonas. This is worth the read. Great job!
4 stars!
