Synopsis

Reece Hatfield has just one rule when it comes to falling in love: don't fucking do it. There's no room in his life for another person. He can barely keep a handle on things as it is. A shadow of the man he used to be, Reece spends his days tattooing, the artist inside of him longing for the chance to do something different.

Avery Moore is all dance, all the time. Ballet is all she's ever known, and she's damn good at it. Her body is her art, a living canvas that captivates Reece the first time he lays his eyes on her.

He yearns to leave his mark on her body... in more ways than one.

The tattooed degenerate with a shady past. The beautiful ballerina with a bright future. They live in different worlds, yet somehow, they fit. But just because they fit doesn't mean they belong together. Cracks sometimes form. Two pieces don't always make a whole. The course of love never did run smoothly. Things get messy.

And Reece doesn't do messy.

Not anymore.

My Review

This is the first book I have read by this author and apparently it was a surprise release and totally out of her norm to write.  I think she did a great job.  It is told by the Male POV throughout and I would have liked hearing from the Heroine's POV as well.  Other than that.... Great job!

We are introduced to Reece and Avery.  Two souls from two completely different worlds.  Brought together by Fate?

***Reece is an artist.  A hard working, talented, rough around the edges, sexy male.
Art is his life.  Coming from a troubled past.  Where one thing - led him to give up his art forever.  Turning to tattooing as his outlet to continue. Reece is damaged and a one night stand kind of guy.  His method is "one and done" so when Avery walks into his life he is shaken up a little.  He can't get her out of his mind.   He is working to become a better man.

***Avery a dancer.  A full time student.  With two very strict parents.    A chance meeting and she can't get him out of her mind either.  She wants to take a walk on the "wild side".  Yet, I think what she didn't expect was to find out just how loving and amazing and talented Reece is.

You know what they say - Opposites Attract.
They form a friendship and the attraction is there.  But, there are secrets that Reece is keeping locked up.  What happens when Avery finds out those secrets?

I think this story was in a round about way  - about second chances and new beginnings.
Most will agree that Miss Lexie takes the show in this story and I'll leave it up to you to find out who and why that is =)

All in all - I found this to be a great book.
