Amy's 4 star review of A Savage Affair: An Eternal Affairs Novella by Olivia Hayes

Arc Review - Releases July 6

Synopsis
This novella is a follow up to Eternal Affairs, which should be read first.

The first time Colt Savage sees Marin Wiley he is captivated by her stunning beauty, her shameless confidence, and her fierce independence. Suddenly his world is brighter, his life filled with her laughter, his future a vividly clear picture overflowing with love and happiness.

Marin never expected to meet a man while she was performing at a bachelor party. She certainly never thought she'd be drawn to him like a moth to a flame. When Marin's world starts to crumble Colt is by her side with his witty humor, sexy dance moves, and a body that just won't quit.

When a misunderstanding threatens to pull them apart, making them question everything they thought they knew about each other, will they be able to put the pieces back together and find their future with one another, or will they go their separate ways with the painful memories of a shattered hope?

Review

A Savage Affair Olivia Hayes 4 stars A Savage Affair is a short novella that gives us Marin and Colt’s story. You meet both in Eternal Affairs. Marin is Lexi’s assistant and is floored when she realizes the man who took her breath away is Colt Savage. There is no way Marin can allow herself to come anywhere near him. She has heard her boss talk about Colt and knows she had feelings for him. No way can she blur the lines and ruin her relationship with her boss much less lose the best job she has ever had. If you read Eternal Affairs, you already realize this story back tracks some due to the events that occur in the first book. This was well written and answers any questions concerning the two that were left lingering in the previous book. We don’t see much of anyone in this short story except for Remi; Colt’s sister. I felt like the story could have and at some points should have been more in depth. I was a little disappointed there wasn’t more emotion written into a specific event when it was revisited. Having said that I appreciate getting my questions answered as I felt Colt’s happiness or lack of deserved to be heard.
