Rage – Kaylee Song 4 stars In Rage, which Im certain will end up as a series of standalones we meet Layla and “Rage” Cullen. Layla fled from the MC life after her father was killed. He was the President of the small club Fire and Steal. Her mother was killed as well while in jail. She was a junkie turning to drugs while dealing with her husband living the MC life and all it had to offer full force. However when her brother Sean is gunned down she comes back for his funeral a vote is taken and she isn’t allowed to leave. The club wants her close in order to protect her. Cullen has loved Layla since they were kids. Layla left him alone after her father’s death with no explanation. He closed himself off to any type of relationship much less the possibility of claiming an ol’ lady. Cullen knows no matter what happens with them he has to protect Layla; he promised Shawn he would keep her safe. As the story continues to unfold Cullen knows something isn’t right. Someone knows more than they are saying. His fear is when the truth unfolds will Layla run or stay this time? This is a nice easy read. It’s a very good start to an MC series. I hope that as the series moves along the stories will become more in depth concerning the characters and their backgrounds. However good start here with Rage. I recommend this one if you enjoy MC books.
