My ARC review of Ride Steady ( Chaos #3) by Kristen Ashley

I received an ARC via Net Galley for an honest review.
Releasing June 30th.

Synopsis
The ride of her life . . . Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.

Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

I am rating this a 3.5

I have read the previous two in the series and sadly this was my least favorite.

Joker was alpha, just not as alpha as I would have liked him to be.  He was definitely a survivor.  As he went through a lot in his life.  He was damaged- emotionally and physically.  He was able to overcome and come out on top.  He was a fighter - literally.  I would have liked to have seen more of that and as far as his biker/MC side - we really didn't get to see much of that in this story.  This was definitely more of a love story.

Carissa - what can I say.  I found her to be a little annoying. She let her ex husband walk all over her.  The only real drama we had in this book surrounded her and the ex.  It was drawn out too much for my liking and boring.

I just didn't connect with the characters or their story.

P.S. I hated her nickname "Butterfly"!
