My ARC 4 star review of June - Calendar Girl by Audrey Carlan

Synopsis
Politics, phallic statues, and pretty women.

Literally everywhere you look, you see an old man and a gold-digging cling-on wrapped around their wrinkly arms.

Luck had not gone my way when Warren Shipley, one of the nation’s wealthiest men hired me to play arm-candy in order to save face with the other one percenters he did business with. At least that’s what I thought when I arrived in Washington, DC, until I was met by old man Shipley’s debonair and insanely handsome son. Aaron Shipley was notably the youngest senator in the history of politics voted Senator of California at the tender age of thirty-five. Single, beyond rich, and the face of every political magazine around the US. Women everywhere wanted a taste of that power.

Me, I’d always thought politics were boring…boy was I wrong. Democracy had never been more exciting.

My Review -

This installment of Mia's journey takes us to Washington DC.  Where she was hired to be arm candy for a Very wealthy man!  Mia learns  to Trust the Journey during this month.  She reflects on all her "clients" and once again, finds herself missing Wes.   Mia not only has learned alot about her own life during her travels.  She has come to assist others in finding their HEA's.  This journey is no exception.   Mia is dealt a shitty hand towards the end of the book and my heart ached a little for her.... however... her "forever friend" comes to her rescue!      Will Mia ever really get over Wes?  Will she continue her journey to clear her father's debt and will she ever really find her One True Love and her own HEA?

June was an emotional journey for the reader and for Mia.  She relies on the strength and support of her family and her extended family to get her through this month.   She continues to show how strong and determined she is.

Another great job!

This serial series  is a fast and fun read!  Very unique and different.  We are halfway through Mia's year so go one click and start the journey with Mia today!
