Amy's 4.5 star review of No Limit - Armed and Dangerous by L.P. Dover

Synopsis

Murder. Lies. Betrayal.

I deal with those things every day. My name is Jason Avery, one of the best undercover agents in the country. I have yet to fail on a mission, which is why I’ve been sent to Vegas. Countless women have been abducted, tortured, only to show up dead in the middle of the night. It’s my job to find out which sick fuck is responsible. Unfortunately, every lead sends me to a dead end; at least, until Aylee McFadden shows up at my door.

Aylee is a stubborn, headstrong FBI agent and also one of the sexiest women I’ve ever seen with a gun. In joining me, it gives us the leverage we need to get on the inside. She fights me at every turn, but soon realizes there’s more to me than tattoos and a dirty mouth. I can’t get enough of her. Now that we’re in the game, we’re one step closer to solving the crime. However, gambling with money isn’t what the big boys want. They want the one thing I’m not willing to give.

It’s a no limit game, and if I back down I lose everything. I will lose her.

**STANDALONE NOVEL **

No Limit – Armed and Dangerous Book 1
4.5 stars

I really loved this book. Suspense novels are one of my favorite. Murder, undercover cops; you name it; I cant get enough. This book hit the mark for me 100 percent.

Jason Avery just finished up an investigation that took its toll on him. However his job is never done. Just as he thinks he is going to get a few days off he is put on a case in Las Vegas. High end escorts are being brutally tortured and they all are from the same company. After 3 months of investigations, Avery has nothing. He knows the FBI will be moving in fast if he doesn’t get a break soon. Special Agent Aylee McFadden spots Avery in the casino and decides to make her play. Avery, not knowing Aylee is FBI sent to work with him propositions her to take on a special circumstance with him as he believes she is an escort herself. Quickly finding out her true identity, Avery is not pleased he has to work with a partner and especially not a woman.

Jason has gotten the case list down to a few suspects, four business men that play high stakes poker games at the casino together. Now that Aylee has joined the team, she can help by posing as an escort accompanying Jason and hopefully together find out who is committing these horrific murders before another girl disappears.

Both characters have a past that holds painful memories. Together they made one heck of a team. There is a ton of suspense and yes there is some really “nice” interaction between Avery and Aylee. This is a really great read. It is a standalone and has an HEA of course. Great job LP Dover! I am anxious “Roped In” coming in August. Im not sure but I have a feeling we will be seeing Blake Evans, a character we are briefly introduced to at the beginning of this book.
