One breath leaves him weak. Love hurts.
President of Moroad Motorcycle club and career criminal, Cam Farrell gets a second chance at life. He promises to keep Christina at his side and bring his son home alive. But, when new secrets come out and club business sparks a war, Cam must learn that family comes first or risk losing control of his club, his MC brothers in prison, his woman.
Nothing is black or white. Sometimes bad people win.
Determined to make sure Cam stays alive and Jeremy comes home, Christina Nickelson stands up against Cam, the club, and society. At her lowest, she's willing to fight dirty to make sure her unconventional family stays together. Even at the risk of losing Cam's love.
My Review -
3.5 stars
UGH... this is a tough one for me because I enjoyed the first two in the series so much and I didn't HATE this one.... but I felt a tad disappointed. This is the third installment of the series and the story of Cam and Christina and it basically picks off where we are left in book 2.
I felt that the issue surrounding Jeremy drug out a bit too far for my taste. Cam continues to do what he needs to do to protect his family and Christina continues to feel the need to go against everything Cam says in her own quest to resolve the Jeremy situation.
Cam has been dealt with and overcome a lot during this series - most of it was his own doing - and he always comes out on top. He is always two steps ahead in every situation he is put in. Christina, in my opinion, has grown alot over the course of the series. She has a back bone now and standing up to Cam may not always be in her best interest. But Cam has learned to be more sensitive and understanding and allow her to do "some" things she feels she needs to.
The two of them have been through so much through out this series and I held my breath hoping for their HEA! The two of them through it all know that they need each other to survive. We do get some closure when it comes to Cam and Christina. There were a few OMG moments that I didn't expect.
It was still full of ups and downs..... emotion and tension. Their story was definitely not the normal love story. I still question some of Cam's motives and most either love him or hate him. Although this wasn't my fave of the three - I am still forever team Prisoner #18794! He grew on me!
I can't wait to continue the series and see where Debra takes us with Jeremy and possibly others in the MC!
