Amy's 3.5 star ARC Review of Beautiful Deception (The Deception Series #1) by Isabella Need

Jane Overholt is the no nonsense corporate intelligence specialist at a prestigious athletic management firm, but her ascent up the corporate ladder is cut short when handsome Logan Saeger arrives out of nowhere. Jane's resentment of the new supervisor quickly fades though, and before long she finds it difficult to avoid the impossibly gorgeous man who stole her promotion.

Corporate security consultant Logan Saeger is eager to complete his first major field assignment: find the mole who's been helping poach clients away from Sloan-Peterson Athletic Management and Development. Undercover as the new supervisor, Logan plans to get in, get the job done, and get out—but he didn't count on falling for Jane Overholt.

This was a decent read but there was so much going on I was confused at times and it took me a bit to really get into the story. There is lots of sexy time but I tend to focus more on the actual in depth story line. Jane Overholt is a corporate intelligence specialist. Her job is set or so she thinks at an athletic management firm. She is climbing up the corporate ladder and loving it; until Logan Saeger arrives. Blindsided the man not only closes in on her but takes exactly what should have been hers; a promotion. Not only does Jane resent her new supervisor she has no idea where the man even came from. Staying away from him will be impossible due to the fact she is assigned under his watch but even more so she needs him to stay out of her thoughts.

Logan is ready to find the person who has been taking clients away from Sloan Peterson Athletic Management. Being a security consultant, his first assignment has eager to do whatever it takes to finish the job. Logan is going in undercover as the new supervisor. As soon as he can get it, get the job done and get back out the better. Jane might be a problem though … a big problem.

The characters are well written but sometimes the interaction and whats going on is … huh? The cliffhanger is something else and it will keep me moving on to the next two books.

I was provided an ARC for an honest review. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you Isabella!
