In the wake of another poached client, Logan Saeger and Jane Overholt are working overtime to corner the man they're certain is behind the sabotage at Sloan-Peterson. In their down time, they can't keep their hands off of each other, but when a threatening package arrives on Jane's doorstep one night, she pushes Logan away and takes matters into her own hands.
Logan is desperate to tell Jane the real truth about his employment at Sloan-Peterson, but he can't do so until he's sure she's not involved in the sabotage herself. When she rejects him out of nowhere, Logan is devastated. Still, his gut tells him that Jane is loyal to the company—until she mysteriously takes off with another man in the middle of the day, making Logan question everything he thought he knew.
We continue Logan and Janes adventure in book 2 of the series. Again, I am more focused on the story line than the sexy time. I know crazy right? LOL! The story throws us a few loops this time. Jane receives a package that has her taking matters into her own hands. She still doesn’t know that Logan is working for the other company and Logan isn’t sure he can trust her yet. Someone is putting a lot of effort into ruining Logan’s company he works for. Unknowing the company is really Logan’s employer, Jane is putting in long hours to find out exactly what is going on. The only way she can do this is to push Logan out of her life.
Again we have a cliffhanger at the end of this one. There is a lot of push and shove between the two main characters in book 2. I felt myself thinking enough already but the cliffhanger will keep me reading as the story is extremely short. So beware of that if short reads are not your thing.
I was provided an ARC for an honest review. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Thank you Isabella!
