My ARC Review of Reckless (Pier 70 #1) by Nicole Edwards

He’s a walking contradiction...

Cam Strickland, one of the four owners of Pier 70 Marina, has earned the nickname his friends gave him years ago. Reckless. Sure. By definition. When it comes to fun, Cam hasn’t yet met a challenge he wouldn’t accept. In other areas, he’s likely far too cautious for his own good.

He’s his complete opposite...

Gannon Burgess, CEO of Burgess Entertainment, one of the top video game producers in the world, finds himself smack in the middle of the last place he would ever expect to be. But Gannon only thinks he is out of his element standing in the small marina office. Then... he meets Cam.

Rumor is opposites attract.

Sparks fly when this sexy, tattooed bad boy comes face to face with this buttoned-up gamer in glasses.

Can Cam and Gannon push one another out of their comfort zones? Or -- thanks to the events that have shaped their lives -- will the time they spend together prove to be just another reckless adventure? This one involving their hearts.

Gay Romance

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.

I have been a fan of Nicole Edwards since I first read Conviction (Club Destiny #1).

In True Nicole style, she grabs her readers and takes you on one Hell of a Ride.  She has the ability to write stories that suck you in and turn you on - all in one.

This story is based around the Marina that four friends run together.  The two characters the story focuses on are Cam and Gannon.  Cam loves the outdoors and has a need for adrenaline.  Gannon is a "gamer".   Complete opposites.

When a chance meeting happens between the two - there was no denying the attraction.  Both characters have pasts they don't like to share and are weary to start any kind of relationship. But the chemistry is there.  And the sparks fly off the pages.   Nicole can write some HOT Scenes.  It gave me many different feels and I love the banter these two characters share.  There wasn't a lot of drama that unfolds in this story but I felt that it was more about these two alphas trying to find love.

Overall - I think Nicole did an outstanding job.  Although the ending felt a teeny rushed to me.  I think if you love M/M books or hell if you just want to give one a shot.  This is a great one to dig into.    You will laugh - you will cry - you will swoon!

I look forward to seeing where she takes us to next.
