Amy's 5 star ARC Review of Ryker (A Kings of Korruption Novel) by Geri Glenn

Charlotte

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve taken care of everyone around me, including my self-centered older sister, Anna. When her poor choices make us targets of the Devil’s Rejects Motorcycle Club, I grab her and we run like hell. A new city, a new job, a new life. It’s almost perfect – and then I meet Ryker.

He’s gorgeous, rugged and too cocky for his own damned good. But he’s a biker – exactly the type of man I’ve been running from. I have no business getting involved with a man like him. Too bad I can’t get him out of my head.

Ryker

As V.P. of the Kings of Korruption MC, I know all about violence and loss. In my world, getting involved with a woman never turns out well. Avoiding commitment isn’t something I have to work at – it’s just a way of life. Then I meet Charlotte. Drawn to her kindness and beauty, I know there’s no place for her in my world. I have to let her go.

Finding Charlotte battered and bloody late one night, I go against my own beliefs, making it my mission to protect her. The Devils are out for blood and it’s Charlotte’s they want. Maybe I can’t keep her but I will put my life on the line to keep her safe. If not, I face losing the only woman that’s ever made me feel alive.

***Note: This book contains violence, strong language and descriptive sexual situations. It is intended for readers over the age of 18

Charlotte and Anna Daniels have fled starting a new life. Charlotte just hopes that five hours away is far enough. She found her job online and she loves it. Death is something that touches her deeply since the passing of her mother and if she can make those suffering spend their last days surrounded in love and free from pain then her life has purpose. The new patient Harold “Smokey” Harvey is only fifty eight years old. So young to be suffering from cancer and her heart hurts for the man. Heading into room 239 she cant show her fear. Harvey, being a member of the Kings doesn’t mean the bikers will know who she is. It wasn’t that MC she and her sister were running from; it was the Devils Rejects MC in Toronto. Anna had done something to make them very angry. Although she didn’t know what, Charlotte knew they had to get away. She just hoped stepping out of one fire didn’t lead them straight into another.

The most beautiful and pure woman he has ever seen just walked into Smokey’s room. Ryker Cole, VP of the Kings, can't seem to take his eyes away from her. The way she touched Smokey and the true compassion in her voice; what in the heck, was he growing girly parts? Ryker knows the pain bringing a “civilian” into the MC life. It doesn’t work and only gets them killed. But when his best friend Jase comments on his Charlie he stands toe to toe with the man ready to strike. What in the hell did he just mean telling Jase Charlie was his. He can't and he won't but he will protect her from Krueger. Her skank sister, and yes before you say anything, girl is a straight up HOE, got them into this mess and he will protect them both. But after Kruger dies .. then Charlie has to go. Problem is, he cant stand seeing Dr. Douche or anyone else for that matter touch her.

There are so many great secondary characters in Ryker. I love them all; Ellen, Travis (Tease), Jase, Reaper, Gunner, a skank named Lucy, and many more. Why do I love this so much … well that means more books! You all know my absolute favorite is an MC series with sexy time, alpha men, family banter and of course MC troubles like retribution and all that jazz. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

Geri Glenn has created a group of men and their ladies that I will anticipate and devour upon release of each new book. Next up is Tease (Travis) and after that Jase! Tease is ready for preorder as we speak with Jase coming at us next year. Keep them coming Geri! I cant get enough!

Thank you for the ARC – up next a review of Tease and I received both of these books in exchange for an honest review. WHOOP WHOOP! Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
