Amy's 4 star ARC Review of Black Horse Duo Boxed Set by Addison Kline

Oakeley, Texas is a town at war with its own outlaw motorcycle club. The Seventy Devils have maintained a strangle hold on the small country town since 1981. Tom "Black Horse " McClain has ruled as the MC's twisted king throughout the Seventy Devils' bloody reign.
There are those who are brave enough to fight back against the Devils. Townspeople who seek to overthrow the MC. Welcome to Oakeley, Texas, where the men are strong, the women are bold, and the Devils are as bad as they come.

Black Horse
Colt McClain and Averi Ford are star-crossed lovers with a twisted past. When they were just children, Colt's father, Tom " Black Horse " McClain, murdered Averi's parents. As the sole witness to the crime, Averi testified against Black Horse, resulting in his incarceration. Twenty years later, Colt and Averi are very much in love, and Black Horse is getting out of jail. With revenge in his heart, Black Horse is coming for the girl who testified against him: Averi Ford. Can Colt protect Averi from his father's fiery wrath?

Broken Road
In the wake of their President's death, the Seventy Devils are out for blood. With rumors circulating that the men responsible for his death are Colt McClain and Randy Ford, Colt's half brother, Jimmy, claims the President's chair and seeks to carry out his father's quest for revenge.

Colt McClain and Averi Ford were thrown together by horrific acts. Acts that were done by no one other than Colt’s father Black Horse Tom McClain; brutal outlaw of the Seventy Devils MC. Feared because of the mayhem they bring to Oakeley; the town is riddled with fear. Averi’s brothers cant understand why Averi would want to be with the man whose father was responsible for the horrible crime that changed their lives forever. Averi knows the truth about that night. She knows Colt tried to warn her family. The only family he knew since his mother was brutally murdered by his father.

Twenty years later Black Horse is out of jail and is he coming for the only person that witnessed his crime. Colt and Avery’s brothers will need to bury their hate and bind together to save her from the devil himself.

This book is messed up in a sense that it will keep the pages turning. Just when you think you are gaining ground something else comes in from your blindside. There is one about mid book that will blow your mind. You eventually dig deeper into how this came to pass and its just as disgusting as the rest.

The secondary characters in this book are great. The way the book was left I am thinking there will be more. I hope there will be more on a few characters especially Averi’s brothers. The epilogue leaves you guessing to say the least. Loved the characters and the story. Great read!
Thank you Addison for the ARC. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
