Amy's 4 star ARC Review of White Lie by Peggy Dabney

Kree Michaels is an independent woman who has never truly experienced love. But when she begins to fall for Vincent D’Amore, a commanding underboss of the Italian Mafia, she finds herself thrust into excitement…and danger. Jewel Raquet, Vincent’s exotic on-again off-again girlfriend, is determined to push Kree away from Vincent at any cost. In order to be with Vincent, Kree will have to fight both Vincent’s past and her own reservations.
Boy-next-door Tom Fry offers Kree an alternative to the danger and drama of being with Vincent. With his quiet, gentle devotion to Kree, he seems as different from Vincent as it’s possible to be. But will Tom’s sweetness be enough to convince Kree to resist the allure of Vincent’s burning desire?
Do to mature content this book is to be read by readers 18 years and older.

Wow .. the prologue in this book alone with blow you away. Vincent D’ Amore is a force to respect. When he sees Kree Michaels in all his thirty years he has never wanted to be tied to a woman for his life like he does this beautiful creature he just set his eyes on. Her simple splendor defies everything.

Kree Michaels is an self-sufficient woman. She has never had love in her life. Falling for Vincent could not be more deadly. She knows who he is; a feared Italian Mafia boss. The danger and excitement is something she never thought she would find so inviting. Being with him will be a fight between his past and her fears. Kree may never make it out of this with her heart intact much less her life.

Tom Fry is the good hearted clean cut man. He wants nothing more than to offer Kree a choice. He will go up against the to the danger of being with Vincent. Tom and Vincent are like night and day. Vincent is dark and Tom is the light. Who will win the war for Kree’s heart?
