Amy's 5 star ARC Review of Huntsman: A Prequel to the Spider Series by Jaycee Ford

With his first step onto the Afghan sand, the life Mike Shuler had known was gone forever. He had suffered the loss of his father and his best friend during his time away. The demons he faced in the desert turned his once hopeful future into dreams of a traumatic past, taking away every part of his soul. The Marine could save the world but only one person could save him ... his Grace.

5 stars

The Huntsman is a prequel to a new series that proves to be amazing after reading this release. This book is filled with every emotion and the depth of a man who served his country.

Mike Shuler let the desert take his soul. The day he left was the day he lost himself. Being a Marine fighting a war ... Losing loved ones and bringing home scars has left him swapping his memories out for nightmares.

His father is gone. Lost while he was away along with one of the most important people in his life. His Grace and his daughter are his light but how much can one person put onto another before they are swallowed by his demons.

This book is an emotional train wreck. If you have ever experienced a soldier and his battle scars you know what I'm talking about. The sounds .. The people .. The crowds .. Sudden movement .. It's all there with them here .. The desert never leaves them. The missions and loss are burned in their heart and com eerily through the darkness as soon as the sun fades.

If this is a "teaser" for what we are about to get n this series just wrap me in a box of Kleenex because it's going to be a long ride. The cover is beautiful ... Thank you for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets. Click this up ... And prepare yourself ...
